Flamengo beat São Paulo by a score of 2-0 , this Saturday (12). After the match, coach Filipe Luís opened up about the reason for not including Pedro in the match. The coach of Mais Querido highlighted that he was disappointed with the striker's attitude in training.
Filipe Luís criticizes Pedro's actions at Flamengo: "Pedro's behavior and attitude during the week was regrettable, bordering on ridiculous."
He continued: " Pedro has his personal problems with the club's board, but it's not just now that he's been training poorly, but this week he broke with a clear principle that we have as a committee and players, which is the training culture," highlighted the coach before adding:
"For me, what he did was disrespectful, his behavior in training. I didn't hesitate for a moment to leave him out of this game, as this behavior can be contagious. I hope he recovers, apologizes to his teammates, and goes back to being Pedro. It's not just a lack of respect for his teammates, it's also for himself, " said Filipe Luís.
"My eyes tell me what I see on the field, but we have GPS data that shows Pedro is last in absolutely everything this week, and a player like that isn't ready to perform. You can blame whoever you want, but the fault is his. He has to want it, and when he wants it, I'll be there with open arms. I can't go to the market and buy a player who scores 30 goals like him. He's not the problem; he should be the solution. When he wants to, apologize, and return to training at the same level as his teammates , he'll be a starter, undisputed."
"As I said, his trainability is lower. These leaks happened, these screenshots. I have absolutely nothing to do with it. I don't want Pedro to be sold. I don't want Pedro to leave. Flamengo returns to the field this Thursday (18), when they face Estudiantes (ARG), at Maracanã, for the first leg of the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. Preparations for the match will be completed this Wednesday (17), with the last training session led by Filipe Luís , at Ninho do Urubu.
During the training session, scheduled for 3:30 pm (Brasília time), the red-and-black coach is expected to define the starting lineup. The most likely lineup includes: Rossi; Royal, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira, and Ayrton Lucas; De La Cruz (Allan), Saúl, and Arrascaeta; Plata, Pedro (Bruno Henrique), and Samuel Lino . However, confirmation will only come after the afternoon training session.
Despite the team's tendency, Filipe Luís can make changes based on the squad's movement at the training center. The coach has a habit of not repeating lineups and prepares the team based on what he studies about the opponents.

In a press conference at Ninho do Urubu, goalkeeper Agustín Rossi spoke about his desire to be called up to the Argentina national team , the current world champion. Despite his dream, the goalkeeper made it clear that his priority remains Flamengo.
