Flamengo has shown an excellent performance in the 2024 Brazilian Championship, despite facing significant absences due to the Copa América. Despite the absence of key players, the team performed better than that recorded with the full squad, reaching numbers comparable to those of the Jorge Jesus era and surpassing the performance of the champion group with Rogério Ceni.

With the absences , Flamengo achieved a success rate of 76.19%. There were five wins in seven games, as well as a draw and a defeat, resulting in 13 goals scored and eight conceded. In contrast, with the full squad, the success rate was 66.66%, with four wins, two draws and one defeat in seven matches. During this period, the team scored 13 goals, including an impressive 6-1 against Vasco, and conceded six goals.

Flamengo's total success in Brasileirão 2024 is 71.42%, considering the 14 rounds disputed until now. In 2019, under the command of Jorge Jesus, Flamengo finished the championship with 90 points and a 78.9% success rate. In 2020, the rate was 62.3%, with the team led by Rogério Ceni winning 71 points and lifting the last cup of the tournament.

NEXT CHALLENGES

Even facing challenges due to the Copa América, Flamengo has demonstrated an ability to maintain a high level of performance in the Brazilian Championship. With a current performance of 71.42%, the team remains firmly in the competition as leader of the Brasleirão.

Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Saturday (6) to face Cuiabá, at 8pm, in the Maracanã, for the 15th round of the Brasileirão with another promise of a full house.
