Flamengo is considering official proposals from two Saudi clubs: Al-Riyadh and Najma SC. Both interested parties want to have Juninho on loan for a season. What they have in common is that both models include a financial compensation of 250 thousand euros, but without a mandatory purchase clause or even a defined option.
So far, the Rio de Janeiro club has not yet officially responded to the proposals, but there is an internal willingness to negotiate the terms and try to improve the conditions so that the striker can leave Mais Querido and head to Arab lands during this window.
The first signing of the José Boto era at Flamengo, Juninho was signed from Qarabag, in Azerbaijan, for 5 million euros (R$31.2 million at the exchange rate at the time). The signing was endorsed by the Portuguese manager, who believed in the potential of the 23-year-old striker. However, the gamble has not yet yielded technical returns.
Since joining Flamengo, Juninho has played in 22 of the team's 39 games, but has only started seven times. He has scored three goals, with two of them being highlights: the goal in the semi-final of the Carioca against Fluminense and the other in the Libertadores, against Deportivo Táchira.
Despite these occasional contributions , Juninho has not established himself as a regular option for coach Filipe Luís. In the last 10 games, the forward has played in only four, always coming off the bench. During Flamengo's participation in the Club World Cup , he had a protocol performance: he came on in the final minutes of the draw against LAFC, when the team had already qualified.
Juninho's contract with Flamengo runs until December 2028. Before signing with the club, he was negotiating with Sevilla, from Spain, but opted for Rubro-Negro after talks with Filipe Luís. The change of direction, however, has not yet brought the expected results.

Flamengo has important reinforcements in the coming days. With De La Cruz, Danilo and Emerson Royal on coach Filipe Luís' list of players for the game against Internacional this Sunday (17), Mengão now has a practically empty medical department. But Erick Pulgar's situation still deserves attention .
A regular starter for Filipe Luís, the Chilean midfielder has been out of action since the FIFA Club World Cup. The good news is that his recovery is progressing well, and a return to training is expected. Pulgar is expected to return to action in the second half of September .
His return to action will depend on his fitness after a long layoff. Even if he doesn't return until October, the midfielder will still have a good run of matches , as the season doesn't end until December 21st.

Flamengo is preparing to face Internacional this Sunday (17), for the 20th round of the Brazilian Championship. On Friday afternoon (15), Arrascaeta gave a press conference and avoided commenting on a possible contract renewal with the club.

When asked about the matter, the number 10 replied: "At this moment, I wouldn't like to talk about it." The Uruguayan's contract with the club runs until December 2026, and Flamengo only intends to begin negotiations to renew his contract in early 2026. Starting in June of next year, Arrascaeta will be able to sign a pre-contract with any club for free if he doesn't reach an agreement to stay.
Since joining Flamengo in 2019, Arrascaeta has established himself as a key player . Initially wearing the number 14 jersey, he took on the number 10 after Gabigol's departure. To date, he has scored 87 goals and provided 98 assists in 328 matches, directly contributing to 185 goals for the club.
