Flamengo announced this Friday, November 1st, the renewal of the contract with striker Cristiane until the end 2026. With extensive experience and stints with the Brazilian National Team, shirt number 11 is the club's top scorer this year, with 17 goals scored in 25 matches. The athlete reinforced her commitment to the club's women's football development project, where, according to her, she feels at home.
“It's like the anthem says, once Flamengo, always < b>Flamengo. Playing here is something unique, and I'm very happy for this renewal. I feel it is a privilege to wear the Sacred Mantle and have the support of the Nation, my teammates and the entire technical committee,” stated Cristiane.
PATH THROUGH FLAMENGO AND IMPACT ON THE ATTACK
Hired by Mais Querido in early 2024 after playing for Santos, Cristiane quickly established herself as a key player in the team. In a short time, he accumulated 17 goals and two assists in 25 matches, standing out in the season's competitions.
No Brazilian Championship, the top scorer scored six goals, even though Mengão was eliminated in the first phase. In the Copa Rio, there were four goals in four games, in addition to the four goals in progress.
PERFORMANCE AND PLANS FOR THE FUTURE
The player also took the opportunity to speak out to the red and black fans on social media. “This year, I scored a lot of goals and it was a privilege to represent the Nation. I'm here to continue making history, seeking titles and joining this fan base until 2026. Let's go, Mengão!” said the top scorer, in a message of thanks and encouragement to the fans.

In a close battle for the lead in the Brazilian Championship , Flamengo and Palmeiras will face off on October 19th at 6:30 pm at the Maracanã stadium for the 29th round of the competition. The Rio de Janeiro club released details of the schedule and ticket prices this week , which have already sparked debate among fans on social media.
According to the club, fan members of the Nação Maraca and Nação Sem Fronteiras plans will have priority in purchasing tickets, being able to purchase up to two tickets per match, depending on their star level. Sales are made exclusively through the website ingressos.flamengo.com.br.
Prices vary by sector and fan plan . In the North Sector, the price for members starts at R$35 , while the general public will pay R$140. In the Lower West Sector, tickets cost R$200 (half-price R$100).
The club also offers hospitality options with unique experiences. Espaço Fla+, located in the East and West sectors, includes a buffet and unlimited draft beer for R$200.
Maracanã Mais offers a full meal, dessert and an open bar of non-alcoholic drinks , with prices ranging from R$281.25 to R$900. The space has a seated audience format and is aimed at those seeking comfort and exclusivity.
Prices exceeding R$600 at Maracanã irritate some of the red-black fans, who complain about the stadium's elitism and the loss of its traditional atmosphere.

The announcement of ticket prices for the Conmebol Libertadores semifinal match between Flamengo and Racing (ARG) has sparked a strong backlash on social media. Some fans consider the prices to be high and believe the club is driving the "common people" away from Maracanã , which, according to many, directly impacts the club's traditional energy in the stands.
The match takes place on October 22nd at 9:30 pm at Maracanã Stadium. The club has released the sales schedule and prices for members and the general public , with tickets ranging from R$87.50 to R$600 in conventional areas, and exceeding R$2,000 for premium packages.
On social media, many Flamengo fans expressed dissatisfaction with the prices. The main criticism is that the high cost prevents access for some of the more popular fans , who traditionally provide the vibrant atmosphere and parties in the stands. "I already foresee a silent Maracanã," commented one fan in a viral post on X (formerly Twitter).

Flamengo and Giorgian De Arrascaeta are close to formalizing a new contract. Negotiations resumed in recent weeks and are expected to advance during the FIFA World Cup break. The agreement provides for a contract until December 2028 , with an automatic extension until 2029 if the player meets performance targets set by the parties.
The number 10 currently has a contract with the club until the end of 2026, but he has already expressed his desire to stay longer. Initially, the board didn't see any urgency in bringing forward the talks , but the Uruguayan's prominence this season led Flamengo to prioritize the renewal.
Negotiations began in February, were halted in May, and are now in their final stages. Executive director José Boto and businessman Daniel Fonseca, a former Uruguayan national team player , are leading the talks.
After a rocky start, when negotiations were postponed until 2025, there is now agreement and optimism between the parties. New meetings are expected to take place next week in Rio de Janeiro to finalize the contract details.
So far, Arrascaeta has 19 goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances for Flamengo in 2025 , numbers that confirm his role as one of the squad's key players. In 2019, the year of his debut with the club, he was directly involved in 37 goals (18 scored and 19 assists).
