Flamengo continues to strengthen itself with new signings. However, in addition to signing experienced players who have spent time in Europe, Mais Querido is also renewing the contracts of younger players. One of them is Dyogo Alves, an under-20 archer, who had his contract renewed.

“The Garoto do Ninho Dyogo Alves renewed his contract with Mengão until December 2026. We wish him much success with the Sacred Mantle”, posted the Flamengo on social media. In addition to the message, Rubro-Negro also shared the recording of the moment the young archer signed the new contract.

Dyogo Alves is considered one of Flamengo's great promises. At the moment, the young man is Rossi's reserve alongside Matheus Cunha. However, Flamengo believes in the archer's potential to stand out for the club.

The Under-17 Boys from the Nest return to the field this Thursday (19), at 3pm, to face Fluminense in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Brazilian Under-17 Championship. The match will be played in Gávea and will be broadcast live on SporTV.

Led by coach Eduardo Zuma, the red-black team arrives at the clash after winning four victories in the last five games. In the final round of the first phase, Mengão beat Corinthians 5-0, securing third place in group A, with 15 points. There were five wins in nine games and 19 goals scored, the second best attack in the group.


IMPORTANCE OF THE VICTORY IN THE FIRST GAME

Midfielder Lucas Vieira highlighted the relevance of the result in the first match of the quarterfinals. "Important game. I think it's always good to come away with a victory in the first game, especially at home. And try to make history by winning the Brazilian Under-17 Championship", said Vieira about the decisive classic.

With 12 titles won by Flamengo, goalkeeper César Bernardo faced an unusual situation in his career at 32 years old. After not having his contract renewed by Boavista (POR) in June, the archer was re-signed by the same team in September due to serious injuries suffered by the team's two main goalkeepers.
