0Flamengo secured their place in the semi-finals of the 2024 Copa do Brasil by beating Bahia 1-0, in a match held at Maracanã. This is the fourth consecutive time that Mengão has reached this stage of the competition, consolidating its presence among the tournament's great teams.
Mais Querido's trajectory in the Copa do Brasil has been one of ups and downs in recent seasons , with moments of great success and some frustrations.
In 2021, the Flamengo faced Athletico-PR in the semifinal. After a draw in the first game, the Rio team was defeated 3-0 in the return game, with goals from Nikão and Zé Ivaldo, being eliminated from the competition by Furacão.
WINNING THE TITLE IN 2022
The year 2022 was special for Mengão in the Copa do Brasil. After beating São Paulo in the semifinals, the Rio club won the title by beating Corinthians on penalties, with a 6-5 victory. This was Rubro-Negro's fourth trophy in the history of the tournament, marking a great moment for the team .
In the 2023 edition, Flamengo reached the final again after defeating Grêmio in the semi-final, winning both matches 2-0 and 1-0, respectively. However, in the decision against São Paulo, the Rio club ended up being defeated, finishing runner-up.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

0Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

Flamengo faces Corinthians in the next phase of the competition

0This Wednesday (17), the CBF announced the day that will be the draw for the field hosts for the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil. The event that will take place at the entity's headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, will start at 2 pm, next Friday (20).
Still without the field command defined, the semi-final games of the Copa do Brasil are: Flamengo x Corinthians and Atlético-MG x Vasco. Remembering that the dates of the round-trip clashes are October 2nd and 17th.
It is worth remembering that Mais Querido defeated Bahia to qualify for the semi-finals, just as Corinthians got past Juventude. Vasco eliminated Athletico-PR and Atlético-MG beat São Paulo.
Before Flamengo worries about the semifinals of Copa do Brasil, Mais Querido will have another decision ahead. This is because, Rubro-Negro faces Peñarol this Thursday (19th) and on September 26th, in games valid for the quarter-finals of the Libertadores.
In this way, the red-black squad closes this Wednesday Monday (18) preparation for the clash against Peñarol. The game will be the first leg, at Maracanã, at 7pm, this Thursday (19). The match will be broadcast live throughout Brazil on ESPN.
