0The Copa do Brasil has entered its decisive phase, and only four teams remain in contention for the title. Among them, Flamengo reaches the semi-final with the best defense of the tournament, having conceded just one goal in the entire competition. The team secured its classification by eliminating Bahia in the quarter-finals with two consecutive victories.
CRF began its campaign in the third phase, facing Amazonas. With 1-0 victories in both the first and second legs, the team advanced to the round of 16, where they faced Palmeiras. In a disputed match, Mengão won the first leg 2-0 at Maracanã and, despite a 1-0 defeat at Allianz Parque, secured classification with an aggregate score of 2-1.
In the quarterfinals, the red-black team faced Bahia. Demonstrating defensive solidity and efficiency in attack, CRF won both games 1-0, both at Arena Fonte Nova and Maracanã, securing their place in the semi-finals without any major scares.
FOCUSED ON THE NEXT CHALLENGES
With the Copa do Brasil on pause until the semi-finals, Flamengonow focuses its attention on others competitions. Next Sunday (15), the team will face Vasco da Gama in the Brazilian Championship. The Rio classic takes place at Maracanã, at 6:30 pm, for the 26th round of the Brasileirão. Mengão seeks to maintain its good momentum in the season, amid fierce disputes both nationally and in international tournaments.
Next Thursday (19), CRF returns to the field to face Peñarol, of Uruguay, in the quarter-finals of the Copa Libertadores. The match will also be at Maracanã, at 7pm, and the team enters with full force to try to extend their winning campaign this season.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

0Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

0This Wednesday (17), the CBF announced the day that will be the draw for the field hosts for the semi-finals of the Copa do Brasil. The event that will take place at the entity's headquarters, in Rio de Janeiro, will start at 2 pm, next Friday (20).
Still without the field command defined, the semi-final games of the Copa do Brasil are: Flamengo x Corinthians and Atlético-MG x Vasco. Remembering that the dates of the round-trip clashes are October 2nd and 17th.
It is worth remembering that Mais Querido defeated Bahia to qualify for the semi-finals, just as Corinthians got past Juventude. Vasco eliminated Athletico-PR and Atlético-MG beat São Paulo.
Before Flamengo worries about the semifinals of Copa do Brasil, Mais Querido will have another decision ahead. This is because, Rubro-Negro faces Peñarol this Thursday (19th) and on September 26th, in games valid for the quarter-finals of the Libertadores.
In this way, the red-black squad closes this Wednesday Monday (18) preparation for the clash against Peñarol. The game will be the first leg, at Maracanã, at 7pm, this Thursday (19). The match will be broadcast live throughout Brazil on ESPN.
