FLAMENGO CONFIRMS GOOD MOMENT AND BEATS AMÉRICA-MG, AT INDEPENDÊNCIA

In the ninth round of the Brasileirão Feminino, Flamengo went to Belo Horizonte and beat América-MG, 2-1, on Monday night (6), at Arena Independência. With two goals from Cristiane, Meninas da Gávea won their third consecutive victory and are already in sixth place in the championship with 14 points.

The game

In the first minutes of the match, Flamengo managed to maintain possession of the ball in the offensive field and immediately looked for the first goal. At eight minutes, Meninas da Gávea created the first clear chance. In a corner in the area, the ball fell to Cristiane, who hit it and the ball went very close to the goalkeeper's left post.

At 18', another good arrival from the red and black team. Duda intercepted a ball in the middle, played with Cristiane, invaded the area from the left and hit hard. The goalkeeper put it in for a corner. Afterwards, Glaucia made a beautiful pass to Gisseli, she invaded the area and hit it over the goal.

After insisting so much, Mengão opened the scoring with her, mom Cris! The top scorer received a deep pass behind the América-MG defense, invaded the area and hit the goalkeeper's exit: 1-0.

In the last minute of regulation time in the first half, América left all the same. Isadora brought down Soraya inside the area and the referee awarded the penalty. The attacker herself took the penalty and scored the goal for the Minas Gerais team: 1 to 1. The teams went into the break with equality.

When returning to the second half, América-MG was more with the ball in the attacking field, but it was Mengão who ended up scoring the second, again with Cristiane in the 9th minute. Duda made a good move on the right and crossed just enough for the number 11 shirt to head with style against the goalkeeper: 2 to 1.

After the goal, Meninas da Gávea continued to value possession of the ball and it was little threatened by America. In the final minutes, Mais Querido knew how to manage the result well and left the field with the third consecutive victory in the competition.

Next appointment

As Meninas da Gávea return to the field next Monday (13) for the classic with Fluminense, at 4pm, in the Luso-Brasileiro, for the 10th round of the Brasileirão Feminino.
