The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo recently announced the hiring of psychologist Carol Muniz to join the technical committee of the under-17 team, which has Filipe Luís as coach. The news gained prominence not only due to the reinforcement in the technical team, but also due to the professional's history, who had already worked at Flamengo's academy and had a spell at rival Vasco da Gama the previous year.

Carol Muniz was in the picture Vasco professional last year, however, after internal changes at the club, she ended up being removed from the team. Now, he returns to Flamengo to carry out his role with young athletes, demonstrating enthusiasm about the opportunity through his social networks.

FLAMENGO INVESTING HEAVY

The hiring of specialized professionals such as psychologists to join the technical committees of sports teams is an increasingly common practice in the world of football. The work of these professionals is not limited only to the technical-tactical aspect of the game, but also aims at the human and emotional development of athletes, helping to manage stress, overcome challenges and build a winning mentality.

In context specific to grassroots football, where players are in the training phase not only as athletes, but also as individuals, the presence of a psychologist as part of the technical team can be even more relevant. It is during this period that young athletes face a series of pressures and challenges, both on and off the field, and having the support of a qualified professional can make all the difference in their personal and professional development.

Carol's arrival Muniz to Flameng This represents not only a reinforcement of the technical team, but also an opportunity for the Rio club's young under-17 players to have access to specialized psychological support. Sports psychology has been gaining more and more space and recognition within the sporting universe, and its contribution to the success of teams and the well-being of athletes is undeniable.
