Viña's injury brought an unexpected challenge for the Flamengo: find a solution for the side. With the player missing, coach Tite needs to look for alternatives within the squad to fill this gap. Léo Pereira and Varela appear as the main candidates to occupy the side. Both have already been used on other occasions, performing the role in an improvised manner.

Léo Pereira, the original defender, has already played in emergency situations on the left flank, offering a more solid defensive option. On the other hand, Varela, who is also a defender, was improvised on the right flank, bringing a more defensive profile to the position. In addition to these options, the name of Ayrton Lucas appears as a natural alternative.

FLAMENGO HAS THE BEST INTENTIONS

Original left-back, he already has experience in the position and can be a safe choice to maintain the team's defensive consistency. Ayrton Lucas offers a significant offensive presence, which can be a difference in games where Flamengo needs support in attack from the wings. However, Viña's injury also opened up space for the possibility of Tite testing new talents. One of the names that has been gaining prominence is Zé Welinton, a young promise from Flamengo.

Zé Welinton, known for his defensive ability and ability to support the attack, has stood out in the youth categories and could be a bet interesting for the future. His inclusion in the main team would be an opportunity to gain experience in high-level competitions and show his value in the professional squad.

In a post on Instagram, the mayor informed that the city hall will be responsible for removing the megastructure on the gas meter site, different from what was reported. Furthermore, he guaranteed that Flamengo will have its new stadium, with the best conditions and security.

The news published by Ancelmo informs that Flamengo would have to pay R$100 million to remove a large gas structure present on land acquired by the club, which is owned by CEG and CEG-Rio, which are companies that are part of the gas concessionaire Naturgy.

According to the article, the companies were informed that Flamengo is the responsible for bearing the expenses, as provided for in one of the annexes to the land purchase and transfer contract. The clause, however, does not have a specified limit.

“They are making me defend @flamengo more than I would like: let it be clear that this is not the The cost of this transfer and when it happens will be the responsibility of the city of Rio, which knows that this structure cannot be in an area that is already receiving so many residential buildings. It's been in our plans for a long time! Flamengo will have its new stadium there in the gasometer with all the quality and safety that the region demands and deserves. Period!”, published the mayor.

Flamengo beat Bahia 1-0 this Wednesday (29) in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil. In the match, two Mais Querido players left the field due to injuries, midfielder Nico De La Cruz and striker Michael, who returned to the red and black team last week after playing in Saudi football, where he was led by Jorge Jesus.

The frequent injuries in the red and black team has been worrying the technical committee. In the post-game interview, Tite stated that the club works to ensure that the players are in good physical shape and avoid injuries, but due to the sequence of games Flamengo, become inevitable.

“Maybe we don't have enough time to talk regarding how much it influences the athlete. And how much we work on this so that we can make decisions without exposing the athlete or their health. It inevitably happens and it hurts,” said the coach. Tite commented on the case of Michael who, after returning, started the match against Red Bull Bragantino and played the 90 minutes, something that, according to the coach, was not supposed to happen, but was necessary due to the physical problems of the Mengão squad.

“We needed Michael because we didn't have one and he played the whole game there (against Bragantino). I wasn't supposed to play the whole game. He came with good will and was decisive. He was almost going to score the second goal, it wasn't a foul. It was nothing, he removed the body. Just for the record. One decisive player and you lose in the sequence. We try to preserve as much as possible, but it's tough.

With the injuries to Michael and De La Cruz, Flamengo now has seven players in the medical department. In addition to the duo, Everton Cebolinha, Matías Viña, Pedro, Gabigol and Arrascaeta are also recovering from injuries. Shirts 9, 99 and 14 suffered muscle injuries and should return in September. Cebolinha ruptured the Achilles tendon in his left leg and will only return next year, as does Viña, who had a ligament rupture in his knee and a fractured tibia.
