Since Filipe Luís took over Flamengo's under-20s, the team has been on an upward trend. In this way, Mais Querido has become increasingly stronger and consolidated in defense and attack. Thus, on the night of this past Tuesday (30), Rubro-Negro achieved their third consecutive victory by beating São Paulo, 2-1, in the category's Brasileirão.

With two goals from Wallace Yan, the Most Querido jumped to 28 points and took third place, after 15 games played. The team led by Filipe Luís confirmed their good form in the under-20 Brasileirão, after victories over Corinthians and Botafogo.

MATCH SUMMARY

The game with São Paulo was balanced from the start at the end, with good chances for both sides. However, it was Rubro-Negro who opened the scoring, in the 45th minute of the first half. Wallace Yan received it from Zé Welinton on the left wing, left the marker in the distance and hit it from an angle, but the São Paulo goalkeeper left space and the ball went in.

In the final stage, São Paul entered more attentively, suffocating the Mais Querido and it didn't take long to equalize. After the defense hesitated on a corner kick, the rival team equalized. Paulinho, in the 17th minute, put the ball into the net with an empty goal.

However, Mais Querido's response came quickly. In the 20th minute of the second half, after a throw from the defense field, Lorran beat his opponent with speed and, unselfishly, rolled the ball to Wallace Yan, who pushed it into the net without a goalkeeper.

FOCUS ON THE NEXT CONFRONTATION

Thus, close to confirming their classification among the top eight, Mais Querido returns to the field on August 8th, against Ceará, for the 17th round of the Brasileirão under-20. The game will be at 6pm, in Fortaleza.
