Matheus Gonçalves has stood out in Flamengo's under-20s and is valued in the market. Thus, in recent days, Mais Querido received a proposal of 5 million euros (R$ 31 million) for 50% of the young man's economic rights. The offer was made by Rio Ave (POR), and Rubro-Negro accepted. However, the midfielder does not see the Portuguese club as a good path for his career.

According to information from journalist Venê Casagrande, even though Rio Ave has a European showcase, Matheus Gonçalves preferred it, at least at this moment , stay at Flamengo and wait for a more "seductive" offer.

In Brazil there are currently two teams that want to sign Matheus Gonçalves: Bragantino and Fortaleza. The Bragança Paulista team has wanted the midfielder since the beginning of the year. More recently, this August, the São Paulo team made a proposal of 7 million euros (R$43 million), in addition to bonuses, for 70% of the player's economic rights. However, the situation remains undefined, as Rubro-Negro takes a long time to respond.

LITTLE USE IN PROFESSIONAL

In Flamengo's professional team, Matheus Gonçalves has just 11 games in 2024. With Tite, the midfielder started twice, against Fortaleza and São Paulo. Thus, with few chances in the top team, the young man was "loaned" to the under-20s and shone in the under-20 World Cup final against Olympiacos.

EXPECTS TO HAVE MORE MINUTES< /b>

After refusing Rio Ave's proposal, Matheus Gonçalves hopes to be able to receive more opportunities with Tite. The young midfielder traveled with the Mais Querido professional delegation for this Sunday's match (1), against Corinthians, at 4pm, at Neo Química Arena.
