Michael is close to returning to Flamengo. Mais Querido is in advanced negotiations with the player who is leaving Al-Hilal and has even defined the length of his contract with the club.
According to information from journalist Venê Casagrande, the contract by Michael with Flamengo will be until December 2028. In this way, with the contract period agreed, the player will terminate his contract with Al-Hilal in the next few hours to finalize his return to Mais Querido.
MARCOS BRAZ SPEAKS ABOUT THE MICHAEL'S ARRIVALAfter the defeat of Flamengoto Botafogo this past Sunday (18), Flamengo's vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, spoke about Michael's return and said that all that remains is for the attacker to sign the contract before the club announces it.
“We have a very early hiring process. Everyone knows it's Michael. It's not right because it's not signed, I only tell you when I sign it. But he's too early. (…) All that’s left is for him (Michael) to be here and sign”, said Marcos Braz.
MICHAEL ARRIVES TO BE A STARTERFlamengo is hiring Michael to be Everton Cebolinha’s replacement , as the number 11 will only return to the pitch next season. This way, the attacker arrives to be a starter, as Flamengo does not have a replacement on the bench.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."
