Flamengo is the only one of the G4 clubs to stay alive in all three competitions

In July this year, Santos showed interest in signing striker Carlinhos, currently at Flamengo. However, a FIFA regulation interrupted negotiations. According to the entity's rules, a player can be registered for up to three different clubs in the same season, but can only play official matches for two of these teams.

FIFA REGULATIONS PREVENT REGISTRATION

This means that, according to article 5 of FIFA's Regulation on the Status and Transfer of Players, the striker had already played for two clubs during the season, which would prevent him from officially playing for Santos in 2023.

However, the former player was categorical in stating that, although he admires the young man's talent and personality, he believes that his own technique was superior.
