After a break for the Paris Olympics, Brasileirão Feminino is back! In the 14th round of the competition, Flamengo drew 1-1 with Avaí/Kindermann, this Saturday morning (17), at the Salézio Kindermann stadium. Djeni, with a free kick, scored the red-black goal. In the last round, Meninas da Gávea will face Ferroviária at home to decide the classification for the next phase of the competition. The game

As Meninas da Gávea started the match looking to attack. In search of the first right from the start, the red-black team exchanged passes in the offensive field and circled the Avaí area. It is worth highlighting the good marking made by Flamengo, who put pressure on the opponent's ball

Mais Querido opened the scoring with Duda at 24', but the referee called a foul on Avaí's defender. Ten minutes later, Glaucia risked a shot from outside the area and the ball passed close to the goalkeeper's right post. At 35', Avaí took the lead with a header from Brenda: 1 to 0. The first stage ended with an advantage for the hosts.

Needing to reverse the result, Flamengo returned for the second time going on the attack and with one change: Valéria Cantuário in place of Glaucia. And after three minutes, Meninas da Gávea left everything the same on the scoreboard. Captain Djeni took a free kick with class and the ball went into the corner: 1 to 1.

Mais Querido almost turned the corner at 13’. After a cross from the left, debutant Valéria Cantuário took the first shot in the small area, but the ball went too high and went over the crossbar. At 26', Gisseli took the first shot inside the area and the ball passed to the goalkeeper's left.

In the final stretch, Flamengo continued to press to try for the winning goal, but the match ended in a draw in Santa Catarina . The Meninas da Gávea decide the classification for the next phase in the last round.

Gabigol's future: With no atmosphere at Flamengo and interested clubs retreating, what does the number 99 look like for 2025?

In the relationship between Gabigol and coach Tite at Flamengo, only the field is capable of speaking. Between the striker and coach, there is practically no dialogue, and the cold and silent war dictates that only one of them should remain at the club for the season in 2025.

No atmosphere with the coaching staff and also with the squad , Gabriel Barbosa has been convinced to change and airs, but even the clubs that expressed interest in the first half of the year backed away. With a contract at Flamengo until the end of December, Gabigol had offers from Palmeiras, Corinthians and Santos, was mentioned at Grêmio, but did not want to sign a pre-contract with any team.

The expectation was to try to turn things around on top in the second half, otherwise he would end his time at Flamengo like the idol he became, without any fuss.

Tite's arrival last year changed the entire perspective of the striker, who was already in a bad phase previously, and lost his place once and for all to Pedro with the presence of the new coach. With the center forward's recent injury, Tite kept Gabigol at the end of the line, under the argument that Carlinhos and Bruno Henrique perform better in the scheme with a reference man .

Without understanding the criteria, Gabi maintains her dedication to the basic level of professionalism in training, as it is not part of the coach's or the club's plans for a possible renewal. With the chances of a comeback practically buried, the two possible paths are to wait for the election in Flamengo to find out if Tite will remain with the next president; or wait for the end of the contract to freely listen to proposals again. Palmeiras and Santos have not yet given up on the idea, and Bahia appears as an option, as it has good investment capacity.

Retired from the field since 2017, former midfielder Zé Roberto, who had a spell at Flamengoin the 90s, it is looking to buy 90% of SAF from São Bento, a club in São Paulo. According to GE, a meeting scheduled for this Wednesday night (18) could decree the sale of the Sorocaba team to the company Flash Forward, which belongs to the former player.

Zé Roberto is the main name of the company. However, the group also has partners such as former athlete Fransérgio and businessman Tiago Ribeiro (former CEO of Estoril). In addition to Flamengo, Zé played in Brazilian football with the shirts of Palmeiras, Santos and Grêmio. In Europe, the former athlete defended giants such as Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The offer is R$130 million, which would be paid in installments. This amount would be invested on a specific basis in the football team and the club’s structure. The project is to take São Bento to the elite of São Paulo football and Brazilian Series B in up to six seasons.

The passage of Zé Roberto for Flamengo

Revelation from Portuguesa-SP, Zé Roberto stood out at Lusa and caught the attention of Real Madrid in 1997. However, the player had difficulty fitting into the Spanish club and was loaned to Flamengo in 1998.

At Flamengo, Zé Roberto was a starter in the Campeonato Carioca competition, entered the field 23 times and aroused the interest of Bayer Leverkusen , leaving Gávea in the same season. As an athlete, the former midfielder also played in the 2006 World Cup for the Brazilian team.

The Flamengo takes the field today for the Brazilian Women's Championship, facing Ferroviária at 3pm at the Luso-Brasileiro stadium. The match marks the last round of the first phase of the competition, a crucial moment for the Rio team. The “Meninas da Gávea” seek to guarantee the best possible position in the table, aiming for an advantage in the knockout stages that will follow.

The game will be broadcast live on SporTV, offering fans the opportunity to follow each of this decisive match. The Flamengo team has been preparing intensely for this clash, aware of the importance of finishing the group stage with a positive result. Ferroviária, this afternoon's opponent, is one of the most traditional teams in Brazilian women's football, known for its competitiveness and history of achievements. Therefore, Flamengo needs to be attentive and concentrated to overcome an opponent who will certainly offer resistance.

A DISPUTED GAME

In preparation for the confrontation, the coach do Flamengo should have emphasized the importance of maintaining defensive consistency and attacking efficiency. The red-black team demonstrated, throughout the competition, a significant offensive capacity, but it is crucial that this effectiveness is maintained and, if possible, improved in this final game of the first phase.

In addition, the match today also serves as a thermometer to evaluate the team's evolution throughout the championship. Flamengo started the competition with ups and downs, but gained pace and improved its performance as the rounds progressed. This growth will be fundamental for the decisive phases to come.

In the context of the Brazilian Women's Championship, each point won can make a big difference in defining the crossovers for the next phases. A positive result today could ensure Flamengo a more comfortable position and possibly avoid a more complicated clash in the quarter-finals.
