Flamengo started the game against Fluminense with a great performance in the first half, opening the score with a goal from Arrascaeta. However, the team lost steam in the second half, falling in production and allowing a 1-1 draw, with a goal from Yony González. This result took Flamengo to 57 points, while Palmeiras, with the 3-0 victory over Internacional at Arena Barueri, took the lead with 62 points.
The team led by Abel Ferreira did not disappoint, counting on goals from Zé Rafael, Endrick and Rony to guarantee the victory and provisional leadership. Flamengo, on the other hand, needs to recover lost ground at the next opportunity to keep its hope of winning the title alive. In the fight against relegation, Coritiba achieved a crucial victory by beating Cruzeiro 1-0, with a goal from Robson in the final stretch of the match.
Despite the triumph, the team from Paraná remains in the penultimate position , while Cruzeiro continues to be threatened by the specter of relegation. Furthermore, the round had moments of tension after the match between Coritiba and Cruzeiro, when the Minas Gerais team's fans invaded the pitch, resulting in a widespread fight. These incidents highlight the need for strict measures to guarantee safety in stadiums and avoid situations of this type.
The Brasileirão round continues this Sunday (12), with seven games that promise to move the table even further. Highlights include the clashes between Bragantino and Botafogo in Bragança Paulista, Grêmio against Corinthians in Porto Alegre and Atlético-MG facing Goiás in Belo Horizonte. Additionally, other games include Vasco x América-MG, Santos x São Paulo, Bahia x Athletico -PR and Cuiabá x Fortaleza. Flamengo, in turn, will only have its next match on November 23rd, against Red Bull Bragantino, at Maracanã, in a delayed game of the 30th round.

Red-black team remains eight points behind leader Botafogo
|
0Last Sunday (15), Flamengo and Vasco drew 1-1, at Maracanã, in a match valid for the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship. The result, although frustrating for the red and blacks, who dominated much of the match, kept them eight points behind leader Botafogo.
Mais Querido entered the field imposing his pace and controlling the actions for most of the game. The red-black goal was scored by Gerson, who has been standing out in recent matches. However, CRF conceded the draw in the final minutes, which prevented a more significant approach to the classification table.
Even with the difference in points for Botafogo, the technical committee, led by Tite, devised a strategy focused on keeping the team competitive until the last rounds. According to information from the Coluna do Fla portal, the objective is to arrive "alive" in the fight for the title in the final five rounds. Matheus Bachi, assistant coach, believes that the recent good performance against Bahia and Vasco could be an indication that the team is on the right track to fight for the top again.
While trying to get closer to the leaders in the Brasileirão, Mengão is already preparing for the next challenge in the Libertadores. The team will face Peñarol, at Maracanã, in the quarterfinals of the continental tournament. The Rio team is looking for a good result at home before traveling to Uruguay for the second leg next week.
