Corinthians faces an important financial decision involving goalkeeper Hugo Souza, currently on loan from Flamengo. As stipulated in the loan contract, the São Paulo club has the option to acquire 60% of the player's economic rights for a value of 800 thousand euros, which is equivalent to approximately R$4.9 million, using the current price.
This value, however, is not the only point to be considered. The agreement between the clubs provides that Corinthians will only be able to exercise this purchase option from October 1st. Before that date, any movement towards the definitive acquisition of Hugo Souza is unfeasible. In other words, until the beginning of October, the goalkeeper remains only a player on loan to the black and white club, and any negotiations regarding his permanent stay must wait.
FLAMENGO WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITHOUT GUARANTEESAnother crucial aspect of this agreement is that, to complete the purchase, Corinthians must present financial guarantees that are accepted by Flamengo. This means that the club needs to prove that it has the capacity to pay the established amount, whether through cash resources or bank guarantees, for example. If Flamengo does not accept the guarantees offered, the São Paulo club would have to make the payment immediately, in cash, to ensure the player's permanence.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. Red-and-black striker is the target of speculation in the transfer market

This Monday (16), rumors emerged involving Bahia's interest in signing Gabigol, striker from Mais Querido. According to the channel Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, Tricolor de Aço would have entered the dispute for Gabigol, who has a contract with Flamengojust until December this year. In addition to Bahia, clubs such as Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Grêmio, Palmeiras and Santos would also be keeping an eye on the player.
Despite the speculation, the Bahia board was quick to deny any ongoing negotiations to count on the shirt 99 from Mengão. According to the club's leadership, there is no intention of repeating an operation similar to that carried out with Everton Ribeiro.
As soon as news of the supposed interest began to circulate, Bahia tried to clarify the situation. In a statement, the club's senior management stated that there are no negotiations to sign Gabigol for next season. The information of possible interest, therefore, was directly denied by Tricolor's directors.

With Bahia's denial, Corinthians remains the main favorite to sign Gabigol from next year.
