The under-20 team of Flamengo is undergoing a process of reformulation this mid-season. Thus, the board defined that eight athletes will leave the team, seven of which have already been negotiated and one is still awaiting the end of negotiations.
According to information from the RTI Esporte portal, defender Victor Thiago, 18 years old, will be the next player to leave Flamengo. The young man already has advanced conversations with Famalicão (POR) and it is possible that the negotiations will have a positive outcome this week.
LIST OF PLAYERS WHO ARE LEAVING FLAMENGO
right winger Felipe Brian has a contract with Flamengo until December and decided to bring forward his departure from the club. The young man is too old to play for the under-20s and is not used in the main team. Thus, the player requested the termination of his contract and Flamengo will keep 10% of his pass.
Midfielder Khauan Schlickmann, who only has two games in the season, and midfielder João Marcos, ended up being traded to the Al-Ain, from the United Arab Emirates. Rubro-Negro has not yet announced the value of the transfer, but maintained 15% and 20%, respectively, of the athletes' rights.
The two strikers Pedro Estevam and Guilherme Teixeira are also leaving Flamengo. Pedro returned to Ferroviária and Guilherme returned to Juventude, as Mais Querido chose not to exercise the option to purchase the players.
RECENTLY CONFIRMED DEPARTURES
There were also other confirmed departures such as of strikers Weliton and Haruna Hassan. Weliton returned to Juventude after the end of his loan and Haruna was sold to Al-Bataeh, from the United Arab Emirates. Rubro-Negro maintained 10% of the young man’s economic rights. Werton and Gabriel Noga were also recently announced to Leixões (POR), as they exceeded the under-20 age limit.

Flamengo traveled to Rio Grande do Sul to face Grêmio in the 7th round of the U-20 Brasileirão and returned from there with a bitter comeback defeat to the home team. The red-and-black goal was scored by Pedro Leão, still 8 minutes into the first half. Flamengo now provisionally occupies 7th place, with 10 points.
Before the ball started rolling, a tribute to our coach Mauro Felix, who left us this Wednesday (23). The match had a minute of silence dedicated to him, who in 14 years of work at the base, worked with several Garotos do Ninho who today stand out in football.
After the initial whistle, just 10 seconds into the game, there was a scare for Rayan Lucas, who seemed to feel an injury when he first touched the ball and ended up worrying the team, but after receiving treatment, he soon returned to the field. The opponent's first chance to attack came just 5 minutes in, after a dangerous shot that hit the post, almost taking the first zero off the scoreboard for the home team.
However, in the 8th minute, it was the Garotos do Ninho who scored the first goal. After a move on the right side, Shola crossed to the edge of the area and Pedro Leão kicked hard to score his 10th goal of the season for the U-20 team. Leo Nannetti, in the 11th minute, made a great save after a rebound at the edge of the area. The ball went to the opposing striker and the red-and-black goalkeeper prevented what would have been the equalizer.
Flamengo continued its attacking actions and at 21 minutes, in a beautiful play between Shola and Gusttavo, who with a beautiful backheel pass, left the Nigerian in a position but the defense blocked what could have been Mengão's second goal. At 37 minutes, the clearest chance to increase the score: in a counterattack by Flamengo, Lorran had his shot saved by the goalkeeper and on the rebound, the Grêmio defender managed to recover and blocked the shot by Daniel Sales, who was face to face with the open goal.
At 43 minutes, Leo Nannetti appeared again, making a great save after a strong shot, once again preventing the Gaucho team from equalizing.
In the last move of the first half, Shola led a very quick counterattack on the left and after crossing the ball, Gusttavo kicked and the ball capriciously passed by and went out.
In the second half, Flamengo continued to press at the beginning and in the first minute, after an individual play on the right side, Lorran crossed to the edge of the area and Shola tried to finish but the opposing goalkeeper was there to defend.
In the 6th minute, Grêmio scored the equalizer: a play on the right side by Pedro Gabriel passed Daniel Sales, crossed to Jardiel who, alone, headed and scored for Grêmio, equalizing the score.
At 15, Grêmio turned the game around with a great goal from midfield. Number 7 Tiago took advantage of the fact that goalkeeper Leo Nannetti was ahead of the goal and, from the middle of the field, with a rare shot, managed to score Grêmio's second goal.
Flamengo continued to propose plays but without success, and at 25, after a beautiful pass from Lorran, Shola was face to face with the goalkeeper, who managed to make the save.
At 40, the Grêmio goalkeeper once again saved Flamengo's draw after collecting the ball headed by Wallace Yan and at 45, the same Wallace Yan headed the ball onto the crossbar.
The red-black pressure continued, but without success until the end of the game. Now, Flamengo's next commitment in the Brasileirão Sub-20 is against Internacional, at home, next Wednesday (30).

The good result away from home, achieved last week in Belo Horizonte, is the inspiration for the Garotos do Ninho for the seventh round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship. The team will face Grêmio, this Wednesday (23), at 3 pm, once again away from home, at CT Presidente Hélio Dourado, in Eldorado do Sul, a city in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre. The match will be broadcast, with images, by FlamengoTV.
Rubro-Negro, led by coach Nuno Campos, is in fifth place, with 10 points, three behind leader Juventude. After beating Cruzeiro 1-0 at Toca da Raposa 1, with a goal by Wallace Yan, Flamengo hopes to confirm its good moment and achieve another good result. The team trained on Tuesday morning and will then travel to Porto Alegre, where it will be staying.
It is worth mentioning that the victory over the Minas Gerais team, which until then was leading the Brazilian Under-20 Championship, marked Nuno Campos' debut on the pitch. The Portuguese coach led his first training session on March 25 and since then Flamengo has won two games, drawn one and lost once.
Flamengo continues to have some absences due to medical issues. Goalkeeper Lucas Furtado, defender Carbone, midfielder Pablo Lúcio, and forward Felipe Teresa, who were unavailable in the previous round, remain out of the squad to face Grêmio. Defender João Victor, midfielder João Alves and forward Joshua are among the players who traveled with the professional team for the match between LDU and Flamengo, for the Libertadores, in Quito.
