The Flamengo squad is focused on preparing for the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil against Bahia. After a break on Sunday (8), coach Tite led the activities at the CT Ninho do Urubu field this Monday morning (9). Midfielder De La Cruz, however, did not participate in the activities.
Due to an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh, the Uruguayan is still undergoing treatment. This Monday (9), De La Cruz carried out internal work and, therefore, did not train with his teammates. Despite this scenario, the expectation is that the number 18 shirt will be available to Tite for the game on Thursday (12) against Bahia, in the Copa do Brasil.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Red-and-black striker is the target of speculation in the transfer market

This Monday (16), rumors emerged involving Bahia's interest in signing Gabigol, striker from Mais Querido. According to the channel Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, Tricolor de Aço would have entered the dispute for Gabigol, who has a contract with Flamengojust until December this year. In addition to Bahia, clubs such as Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Grêmio, Palmeiras and Santos would also be keeping an eye on the player.
Despite the speculation, the Bahia board was quick to deny any ongoing negotiations to count on the shirt 99 from Mengão. According to the club's leadership, there is no intention of repeating an operation similar to that carried out with Everton Ribeiro.

In a statement, the club's senior management stated that there are no negotiations to sign Gabigol for next season.
