The Red and Black fan who is most attentive to the club's history has certainly heard of Roberto dos Passos Ferreira. However, he became famous not for his name, but for his nickname "Ladrilheiro", which gained prominence when he helped Flamengo to winning the 1981 Carioca Championship title against Vasco, without even taking a shot. Last Sunday (08), at the age of 67, Roberto passed away due to a cardiac arrest, and Flamengo paid its condolences on social media last Thursday (12).

“O Clube de Regatas do Flamengo deeply regrets the passing of Roberto dos Passos Pereira, the Tiler. A symbolic fan of Mais Querido, he became known as the hero of the state title against Vasco in 1981. We offer our solidarity and wish strength to family and friends at this difficult time”, published Mais Querido.

What Ladrilheiro he did?

In the 1981 Carioca Championship final, in front of a Maracanã packed with more than 160 thousand people, Flamengo took a 2-0 lead in the first half, with goals from Nunes and Adílio. However, in the 38th minute of the second half, Ticão scored for Vasco, and the opposing team went all out in search of a draw. It was then that 'Ladrilheiro' arrived on the scene.

The fan invaded the field and interrupted Vasco's momentum, irritating rival players, including Roberto Dinamite, known for his calmness on the field. Vasco athletes tried to attack Ladrilheiro and accused the Flamengo board of having orchestrated the invasion. After his removal from the field, Rubro-Negro managed to maintain their advantage and secured the title.

Thus, Ladrilheiro became a hero for many red-black fans, gaining prominence in the media and giving interviews. In fact, in January this year, he was invited by Flamengo to visit the Mengão Museum, in Gávea, where he had the chance to take photos with the idol Nunes.

The Brazilian Championship started this past weekend and in the first round the competition was already marked by errors and controversies with the refereeing. On the afternoon of this past Sunday (14), Flamengo beat Atlético-GO by a score of 2-1, but the match is still something to talk about.

Right at the beginning of the match, coach Jair Ventura was sent off by referee André Luiz Skettino, after asking for a yellow card for a Flamengo who had just committed a foul. After the coach was expelled, two other Atlético-GO athletes were expelled in the second half of the match.

In addition to harshly criticizing the refereeing, the official profile of the team from Goiás published an image of the match between Flamengo x Atlético-MG, in the 1981 Libertadores, but ended up disappearing afterwards. Remembering that the confrontation was marked by several expulsions and Galo was left without enough athletes on the field.

Atlético-GO also had a goal disallowed, where VAR ruled Emiliano Rodríguez offside in Baralhas' play. The move was checked for a few minutes, which irritated the Goiás team's technical committee.

At the end of the second half, Maguinho was sent off after a VAR review. On that occasion, the player went up with his arm open to compete for the ball with Bruno Henrique and ended up elbowing the attacker in the mouth inside the area. At first the referee didn't give anything, but the video referee intervened and the penalty was awarded to Flamengo. Pedro hit with category and turned the game around.
