The Flamengo has revealed several players in its youth categories. However, even with young people standing out, Mais Querido chooses to release them to other clubs, as is the case of young striker Weliton, who played for the under-20s last season and is leaving for Juventude.

That's because, Flamengodid not exercise the option to purchase the young man, who was one of the highlights of the rubro-negro under-20 team. Thus, the player, who belongs to Juventude, has already said goodbye to his teammates and traveled to Rio Grande do Sul.

HOW MUCH WOULD FLAMENGO HAVE TO PAY TO JUVENTUDE

For that Flamengocould keep Weliton permanently, it would have to pay Juventude around R$1 million for 50% of the economic rights. In the contract, the teams also agreed that Rubro-Negro could buy 70% for R$ 1.5 million.

CONTRACT EXTENDED

Remember, the attacker had a contract with Mais Querido until January of this year, but Tite asked Rubro-Negro to extend the contract. Thus, the young man remained until July. However, as Flamengo did not make the purchase, Weliton returned to Juventude.

PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITY

After standing out for Flamengo in the Copinha, Libertadores, Brasileirão and Campeonato Carioca, Weliton received the opportunity to train under Tite's supervision with professionals. However, the young man did not enter the field for the main team.

The Flamengo continues to show its strength on the field when it faces Vasco, one of its biggest rivals in Rio football. In the last ten games between the two teams, Rubro-Negro has been impressively dominant, with eight wins, one draw and just one defeat. This retrospective reflects the most favorable phase of Flamengo, which has been standing out on the national and international scene in recent years.

While Flamengo accumulated important achievements, such as national and international titles, Vasco went through a phase of ups and downs, including drops to Series B, which may help explain the imbalance in the recent results of the classics. In the Rio classics, the rivalry between Flamengo and Vasco is one of the most intense in Brazilian football, and Flamengo's recent performance further solidifies its hegemony, at least with regard to direct confrontations with Cruzmaltino. Even with Vasco's tradition and rich history in football, the current numbers show Flamengo's clear superiority.

FLAMENGO HAS ITS MAIN POINT IN THE LIBERTADORES

< Flamengo is going through a prominent phase both in Brazilian football and in international competitions. The red-black club, which recently won the Libertadores and the Brazilian Championship, is going through one of its best phases in history. With a star-studded squad, full of national team players and led by renowned coaches, Flamengo has managed to maintain regularity and a high level of performance.

In addition to the achievements on the field , the club has invested in solid financial management and a high-level structure, which also contributes to maintaining good results. These factors are directly reflected in the classics against Vasco, where Flamengo comes in as favorites, something that wasn't always like this.
