Flamengo will not have a direct financial return if the young talent Vinicius Jr, trained in the club's youth categories, wins the prestigious Ballon d'Or award. This decision was revealed by Venê Casagrande in a recent publication.

In the transaction that took Vinicius Jr from Flamengo to Real Madrid, the red-and-black club chose not to insert a clause that would guarantee financial compensation in the event of for the player to win the title of Best in the World. The transfer involved an impressive sum, approximately 45 million euros, but the absence of this specific clause drew attention.

The choice of Flamengo's failure to include such a clause in the transfer contract can be seen as a bet on the player's ability and also as a different financial strategy than usual. While some negotiations between clubs often include provisions that guarantee an additional return in case of individual player success, Flamengo opted for a different approach in this case.

FROM THE NEST TO THE WORLD

Vinicius Jr, since his transfer to Real Madrid, has been closely followed by scouts and football fans around the world. His career has been marked by moments of brilliance and rising expectations. With the absence of this clause, the Rio club is giving up a potential financial reward if the player reaches the top of world football.

The news certainly raises questions about the strategy of Flamengo in negotiations future and how the club approaches the potential of its young talents. The decision to forgo direct financial compensation may indicate a change of focus towards the development of players within the club itself, rather than an exclusive concern with financial returns on transfers.
