0Last Sunday, the 12th, the long-awaited clash between Flamengo and Fluminense, in the second leg of the semi-final of the women's Carioca Championship, shook the sporting scene. After a solid 2-0 victory in the first leg, held in Laranjeiras, Meninas da Gávea found themselves defeated 1-0 at home. The setback broke the red-black team's unbeaten run in the tournament, however, they still secured their place in the much-desired final.
Now, the women's Flamengo is preparing for a new challenge, facing Botafogo in another chapter of the Rio classic. Due to their superior campaign, Meninas da Gávea will have the advantage of deciding the match at home, which will be played in a single game. General Severiano's team secured their place in the final by eliminating Vasco, in a fierce dispute that resulted in two 2-2 draws. The black and white team, benefiting from the better campaign, advanced to the final leaving Cruzmaltino behind.
The duel in the first half was marked by a truncated confrontation between the teams, highlighting Fluminense's fierce stance. Meninas da Gávea faced a series of fouls, without the referee punishing the opponent with cards. The tricolor had a good opportunity with a header, with Bárbara making a masterful save to avoid the goal. Flamengo also created promising chances, with Gisseli finishing over the goal. Shortly afterwards, Duda capitalized on an opponent's error, hitting the post with his attempt.
In the second half, Flamengo entered the field with less concentration and, unfortunately, conceded the goal in the first minutes. In the 5th minute, a cross in the area deflected between the players, finding Lurdinha, who scored the only goal of the match. However, despite the goal, it was not enough to lead Fluminense to the much-desired classification. The stage is set for an exciting clash, where Flamengo will seek, with determination and technique, to win the title that will crown their brilliant trajectory in the tournament.
The confrontation, marked by moments of tension and wasted opportunities, highlighted the resilience and determination of Meninas da Gávea, who, despite the defeat in the return game, consolidated their passage to the final of the women's Carioca Championship . Now, against Botafogo, expectations are renewed, and the fans eagerly await another high-level women's football spectacle

Cerqueira made a long and precise pass to the jewel of the base, Kaylane, who had coolness when finishing and scoring a great goal against Atlético MG. After that, Ju Bittencourt closed everything in Mais Querido's goal and secured the advantage for the second half.
In the second half, the Gávea girls managed to manage the score well in Belo Horizonte. Coach Felipe Torres made four changes, which helped keep the Minas Gerais team at home. In attack, Rubro Negro continued to threaten to increase the score, but the opposing goalkeeper performed a miracle. Confirmation of the 1-0 victory in the debut came with the final whistle of the match.
Rubro Negro will return to the field next Wednesday (16). The Brazilian Women's Under-17 Championship is played at a single venue, in the city of Belo Horizonte. RUBRO NERO GROUP IN THE 1ST PHASEThe CBF made an important change for the 2023 Brazilian Under-17 Championship. Previously, the entity separated 12 clubs into three groups, and the best two in each qualified for the second phase. Starting this year, there will be four groups with 16 teams and only four teams will advance.
Flamengo is in group B, alongside Santos, runner-up in the last edition, Atlético MG and Athletico PR. The championship is played in a single game. Therefore, it is essential for Rubro Negro to finish in first place. If they advance to the semi-final, Mais Querido will face the best placed team in Group C.
