In a recent interview, the athlete told how this position is not completely foreign to him, as his first lessons in football were precisely in this role, during the time he played futsal.
"I think it was the first thing I learned in field, coming from futsal, it was this position as a midfielder. So that made me remember some things I learned back in my time at the base, playing in that position," said Léo Ortiz.

The player highlighted that the experience at futsal was fundamental to his technical and tactical development. Futsal, known for being a sport that requires quick thinking and skill with the ball at your feet, helped Léo improve his game.
