Mais Querido defeated Corinthians 1-0, in the seventh round of the national competition. However, Rubro-Negro left Maracanã with some concerns for the rest of the season, mainly with an eye on the duel for the return of the Copa do Brasil, against Fluminense, on June 1st: Arrascaeta and Everton Ribeiro. The pair were absent from the Brasileirão match.

Arrascaeta was selected to face Corinthians, he even warmed up on the edge of the field with his teammates. However, minutes before, he felt discomfort in the back of his right thigh and gave way to Victor Hugo.

Flamengo must carry out more detailed tests on the number 14 to find out if there is an injury. According to the club's Medical Department, in an initial assessment, the player's problem is not a concern in the long term.

Flamengo was also absent from Everton Ribeiro. Rubro-Negro announced on Sunday (21), that the number 7 suffered an injury to the anterior muscle of his left thigh in the match against Fluminense, last Tuesday (16).

On social media, the The team captain lamented what happened: “First time in my life that I have been out due to a muscle injury, but I know that everything has a purpose and better days will come”, he wrote. Therefore, the duo is doubtful for the return match of the round of 16 of the Copa do Brasil. The duel is scheduled for June 1st, at Maracanã, at 8pm (Brasília time).

As a result, the pair of midfielders will also be absent from Flamengo's next match against Ñublense, in Wednesday (24), for the fourth round of the Copa Libertadores da América, at 9:30 pm, at the Municipal Concepción Stadium, in Chile.
