Flamengo is preparing to make a new move to sign attacking midfielder Claudinho. Amid negotiations with Zenit, from Russia, the red and black board scheduled a meeting for the beginning of next week with the aim of progressing in the talks.

According to journalist Venê Casagrande, the Flamengo leaders are optimistic about to negotiations with Zenit for Claudinho. This optimism is due to the fact that Rubro-Negro intends to persuade the Russian team on the point that interrupted the talks: the form of payment of the 18 million euros (approximately R$ 109 million).

After the first proposal, Flamengo received the counter-proposal and agreed to the amount requested by Zenit. However, the Russians insist that the payment be divided into three installments, while Rubro-Negro prefers a longer term. Therefore, negotiations are stagnant.

PLAYER'S DESIRE

One of Flamengo's trump cards in negotiations with Zenit is Claudinho himself. At 27 years old, the player expressed his desire to move to Mengo, but does not want to conflict with the European team's management. However, Flamengo hopes that the athlete's representatives will be able to convince the Saint Petersburg club to give in in the negotiations.

DECISIVE MATCH AGAINST ATLÉTICO-GO

In addition to the movements in the transfer market, Flamengo has an important commitment this Sunday (28).
