board will schedule a meeting with zenit to try to advance negotiations
|
0Flamengo is preparing to make a new move to sign attacking midfielder Claudinho. Amid negotiations with Zenit, from Russia, the red and black board scheduled a meeting for the beginning of next week with the aim of progressing in the talks.
According to journalist Venê Casagrande, the Flamengo leaders are optimistic about to negotiations with Zenit for Claudinho. This optimism is due to the fact that Rubro-Negro intends to persuade the Russian team on the point that interrupted the talks: the form of payment of the 18 million euros (approximately R$ 109 million).
After the first proposal, Flamengo received the counter-proposal and agreed to the amount requested by Zenit. However, the Russians insist that the payment be divided into three installments, while Rubro-Negro prefers a longer term. Therefore, negotiations are stagnant.
One of Flamengo's trump cards in negotiations with Zenit is Claudinho himself. At 27 years old, the player expressed his desire to move to Mengo, but does not want to conflict with the European team's management. However, Flamengo hopes that the athlete's representatives will be able to convince the Saint Petersburg club to give in in the negotiations.
In addition to the movements in the transfer market, Flamengo has an important commitment this Sunday (28). The team will face Atlético-GO at 4 pm, at Maracanã, in a match valid for the 20th round of the Brazilian Championship. Occupying second place in the table, with 37 points, Rubro-Negro from Rio de Janeiro has the chance to finish the round at the top of the competition.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

0Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

The club has a more advantageous deal than the squad

0Flamengo was about to close an agreement with Zenit to sign Claudinho, but negotiations did not progress as expected. The Russian club made negotiations difficult, demanding high amounts and prolonging the talks until the end of the transfer window. This situation almost compromised Flamengo's planning for the remainder of the season, especially during the month of August, when the squad needed to be complete to face the challenges of the ongoing competitions.
Despite this setback, Flamengo's management Flamengo managed to overcome the situation efficiently. Instead of insisting on negotiating with Zenit, the club redirected its focus and brought in a player 5 years younger than Claudinho, for a similar amount to what would be paid to the Russian club. This change in strategy ended up proving beneficial for Flamengo, who not only saved money in terms of the player's age and growth potential, but also guaranteed a signing that, in the end, could be more advantageous in the long term.
FLAMENGO HAS A NEW DIRECTION IN NEGOTIATIONS
Although the delay in the transfer window generated concern and almost compromised the team's performance in August, the board managed to reverse the situation in time. The new reinforcement arrives with great expectations and can contribute significantly to the team, especially considering his age and potential.
The experience serves as a learning experience for the Flamengo in future negotiations, showing that insisting on an option is not always the best strategy, and that being prepared for alternatives can bring even better results. In short, Flamengo knew how to transform a complicated situation into an opportunity. Instead of focusing on the difficulties imposed by Zenit, the board acted quickly and found a solution that, apparently, could be even more advantageous for the club in the medium and long term.
