The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) recently sent a letter to clubs with the list of pre-selected players for the next call-up of the Brazilian National Team. These athletes were included as possible choices by coach Dorival Jr. for the national team's next commitments in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, which will be held on September 6th and 10th.

A pre-list, which is a common CBF procedure before making the final call-up official, aims to prepare clubs for a possible absence of their players during the competition period. This process allows teams to organize their planning and adapt their strategies, considering the possible absence of key players from their squads.

FLAMENGO HAS ITS REPRESENTATIVES

Among the players of Brazilian Championship that appear in this pre-list, the names of clubs such as Botafogo, Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense stand out. Botafogo, leader of the Brasileirão, has striker Luiz Henrique as one of the pre-selected teams. At Palmeiras, Estêvão, one of the promises of the Alviverde base, is also on the list. Flamengo, known for its star-studded squad, has four representatives: Fabrício Bruno, Ayrton Lucas, Gerson and Pedro. Fluminense, in turn, has André and Martinelli among the possible squad.

Flamengo, with four players on the pre-list, highlights the strength of the red and black squad. Fabrício Bruno, defender, has shown himself to be a solid presence in defense. Ayrton Lucas, left-back, combines speed with offensive skill, characteristics that are valued in Dorival's tactical scheme. Gerson, a midfielder, is known for his ability to control the game and contribute both defensively and offensively. Pedro, a striker, is an important option for the Seleção's attack, being one of Flamengo's top scorers and known for his ability to finish plays with precision.
