On the 11th, Flamengo's squad will travel to the United States to compete in the Club World Cup, where the training location has already been decided . The Government of Rio de Janeiro, through the Tourism Department, will sponsor the Rio de Janeiro clubs participating in the tournament, which also includes Fluminense and Botafogo.
According to information from UOL, Flamengo will receive R$1 million in government funding. Fluminense and Botafogo will also receive sponsorship. However, the amount allocated to the Mais Querido's rivals has not been disclosed. There will be a press conference this Thursday (5) to announce the partnership.
The amount will be donated to 'Casa Flamengo', a space set up by the club in Orlando. The initiative aims to promote the Rubro-Negro brand, and involves exclusive experiences for fans, members, fan-members, sponsors and partners of Mais Querido.
" The State Secretariat of Tourism confirms the investment of R$ 1 million for the activation of the 'Rio de Janeiro' brand at the Casa Flamengo event , during the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Investments will also be made, in partnership with Botafogo and Fluminense, for promotional actions in the cities where the clubs will play their matches", began the Government of the State of Rio.
“ The initiative is part of an unprecedented strategy to promote tourism in Rio de Janeiro internationally , which takes advantage of the tournament’s global reach and the strength of Rio de Janeiro clubs to position Rio de Janeiro as a tourist destination for strategic audiences abroad,” he concluded.
The Flamengo delegation will therefore head to the United States on June 11. The Mais Querido will make its debut in the Super Mundial on the 16th, against Esperánce (TUN), at 10 pm (Brasília time), at Lincoln Financial Field. On the 20th, the Rubro-Negro will face Chelsea at the same stadium. Finally, on the 24th, Mengo will face Los Angeles FC.
Discussions about a new contract between the number 10 and Mengão came to light at the beginning of the year, but the idea was left aside by the club.

Flamengo is preparing to face Internacional this Sunday (17), for the 20th round of the Brazilian Championship. On Friday afternoon (15), Arrascaeta gave a press conference and avoided commenting on a possible contract renewal with the club.
