What Flamengo is preparing for the Copa do Brasil quarter-final clash against Bahia, with a very specific situation involving its new reinforcements. Among the players recently signed by Rubro-Negro, only Michael will be available to play at this stage of the competition. This is due to the registration deadline for players in the Copa do Brasil, which ends today, and prevents other reinforcements from being registered in time to participate in the quarter-finals.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) establishes a deadline for registering players in each phase of the Copa do Brasil, and the deadline for the quarter-finals expires today. This rule implies that any player who has not been registered by that date will automatically be out of the quarterfinals, even if they are regularized in the Brazilian Championship or other competitions.

A KNOWN REINFORCEMENT < /p>

With the arrival of Michael, Alex Sandro, Alcaraz and Gonzalo Plata as reinforcements for the squad, the expectation was that the Flamengo could count on all of them for the decisive matches of the Copa do Brasil. However, due to the tight deadline, only Michael was registered in time and will therefore be able to face Bahia in the quarter-finals. The others, Alex Sandro, Alcaraz and Gonzalo Plata, will only be able to be entered in the competition if Flamengo advances to the semi-finals.

Michael, who returns to Flamengo after his time at Al-Hilal, is already known to fans and the coaching staff. His speed and ability in one-on-one plays are seen as an important asset for the team. The possibility of using him in the quarter-finals, especially in a knockout match like the Copa do Brasil, offers the coach another offensive option to unbalance the opponent's defenses.
