Filipe Luís' Flamengo is one crucial step away from securing its place in the semi-finals of the Copa Rio U-17. Led by coach Filipe, the young red and black players enter the field this Saturday (11), at 11am (Brasília time), to face Madureira away from home. A victory, combined with Fluminense's stumble against Resende, could seal Mais Querido's fate in the competition.

The battle for classification is fierce, with only two rounds remaining until the end of the qualifying phase. Flamengo currently occupies fourth place in the table, with 18 points, while Flu is in fifth place, with 15 points. Botafogo, Nova Iguaçu and Vasco da Gama are already looking at the next phase, with their places practically assured. It is worth noting that only four teams will move forward in the dispute.

FLAMENGO OPENS THE "CRAP" OF TITLES WITH FILIPE LUÍS

It is important to remember that Mengão started the Copa Rio U17 with its starting team, however, from the second round onwards, it chose to use its alternative squad. This was due to the participation of the category's main team in the Adidas Generation Cup, in the United States. In the land of Uncle Sam, Fla fought, but ended up being eliminated in the semi-finals by Philadelphia Union, with a 2-0 defeat.

Now, the focus is entirely on the clash against Madureira, where young red and black talents will seek to make their mark and secure the much-desired spot in the semi-finals. With the support of the Nation Rubro-Negra and the club's characteristic determination, Flamengo enters the field looking for another step towards the Copa Rio U-17 title.
