The president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, met with the governor of Acre, Gladson Cameli, at the club's headquarters, in Gávea, to discuss and sign two important commitments for the red-black team. During the meeting, it was agreed that Flamengo will hold a game for the under-20 team at the Arena da Floresta, located in Rio Branco, in 2024. This game will feature the presence of three players from the professional squad, which should attract even more attention to the event.
In addition, the meeting also resulted in an agreement for Flamengo's main team to play at Arena da Floresta in the opening of the 2025 Campeonato Carioca. This decision marks a significant action to bring the club closer to its fans in the North region of the country, in addition to promoting football in a state that traditionally does not host games from major Brazilian teams.
