The Flamengo is experiencing one of the most hectic and ambitious transfer markets in its history in 2024. The club has been looking for major reinforcements to further strengthen its squad, which raises the question: we are facing the best transfer market in the history of Brazilian football ? To begin with, the signing of Ecuadorian Gonzalo Plata is one of the highlights of Flamengo< /b> in this window.
Plata, one of the most promising players in South America, had been standing out at Real Valladolid and also for the Ecuadorian national team, being one of the team's pillars in the South American qualifiers. His speed and one-on-one ability bring Flamengo a significant difference in attack. With Everton Cebolinha out due to injury, Plata arrives to occupy an important space in the team and is expected to have an immediate impact.
THE TRIO THAT LIVED UP THE TRANSFER WINDOW
Another important name that appears on the list of signings for Flamengo is Carlos Alcaraz. The Argentine midfielder, a standout for Racing and, later, Southampton, arrives in Brazil with the expectation of adding creativity and dynamism to the Red and Black midfield. Alcaraz stood out for his ability to attack, score goals and participate intensely in the defensive game. Flamengo has invested in young talents with resale potential, and Alcaraz, at just 21 years old, fits perfectly into this profile.
On the left flank, Flamengolooked for the experienced Alex Sandro. Having spent time with the Brazilian national team and spent many years at Juventus, Sandro brings the experience of someone who has already played at high-level competitions in Europe. His signing shows that Flamengo wants to guarantee defensive solidity and experience, something the team has needed, especially in decisive moments.

Flamengo continues its preparations to face Juventude this Sunday (14), in the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship. The team's second-highest scorer this season, Pedro is expecting to start as a starter and could be one of the main weapons of Filipe Luís' team.
The number 9's record against the opponent excites the fans: in five matches against Juventude, Pedro has already scored six goals and provided one assist . In retrospect, the center forward also has the advantage, with three wins against the Gauchos and only two losses.
The season has been full of ups and downs for Pedro. After recovering from a serious knee injury in April, the striker faced criticism for his performance in training and even became embroiled in controversy off the field . However, he managed to turn things around and is now Flamengo 's second-highest scorer this year, with 12 goals and five assists.
Flamengo leads the Brazilian Championship with 47 points (14 wins, five draws, and just two losses) . Just behind them are Cruzeiro with 44 points and Palmeiras with 43. Juventude, their next opponent, is in a difficult situation: they are in 18th place with just 21 points.
With Pedro available, Flamengo returns to the field on Sunday (14), at 4 pm (Brasília time), to face Juventude, at Alfredo Jaconi Stadium, in Caxias do Sul, for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão. The Mais Querido seeks the first victory against Jaconero away from home since 1997 , when with an own goal from Rodrigo Silva, managed to come out victorious.
Unlike other opportunities, Mengão players were not used to their full potential and should be available against Juventude.
