This Wednesday (12), the Official Gazette of the Rio de Janeiro City Council announced the creation of the Parliamentary Front in Defense of the Construction of the Rio de Janeiro Stadium Flamengo, in the Gasometer Region. The initiative is led by councilor Marcos Braz (PL), who also holds the position of vice-president of football at Flamengo, and has the support of 33 councilors.

The proposal to build the Flamengo stadium < the href="https://gazetadourubu.com/noticia/neymar-no-flamengo-atacante-apare-vestindo-antiga-10-de-gabigol-veja-açado" target="_blank">Flamengo is seen as a major sporting and economic landmark for the city. In a statement, Marcos Braz expressed enthusiasm with the approval of the Parliamentary Front and highlighted the various benefits that the project will bring to Rio de Janeiro. "This is a giant sports project, very important for the city, which will generate jobs, increase tax collection, attract tourism, among other benefits," said Braz.

FLAMENGO OPENS ITS RANGE OF OPTIONS

The construction of the stadium is not limited to just increasing the sports infrastructure. The project is expected to positively impact several sectors. Job creation is one of the main points, since the work will require a large amount of labor, from construction to operation of the stadium. In addition, tax collection should also increase, strengthening the local economy.

Another aspect highlighted by Braz is the stadium's tourist potential. Flamengo, being one of the most popular clubs in Brazil, it attracts a huge number of fans and admirers, both national and international. A stadium of its own could become a new tourist attraction, further boosting Rio de Janeiro's economy.

Lucas Paquetá, a Flamengo talent who currently plays for West Ham, has been linked to a major transfer controversy this summer. The midfielder was speculated about a possible return to the club, having faced accusations of involvement in sports betting manipulation, which could even result in a permanent ban from football.

However, Paquetá was acquitted and was free to pursue his career . In response to the speculation, West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady gave a definitive answer about the number 10's future.

LUCAS PAQUETÁ WILL NOT RETURN TO BRAZIL

In a recent interview, Karren Brady highlighted the English club's confidence in Lucas Paquetá's continued presence. According to the director, there is no intention of negotiating the player during this transfer window.

" I think he wants to stay here, and we definitely want him to stay. So the fact is, he's going to stay here," Brady said, putting an end to rumors about a possible transfer.

WEST HAM MANAGER REVEALS DETAILS

In addition to confirming his continued presence, the English director also revealed the behind-the-scenes story of a turbulent period in the midfielder's career. The match-fixing accusation generated uncertainty about his future , both at club level and internationally.

"It was a very difficult time in Lucas's life. It was a very serious accusation that hung over him , and the FA wanted to ban him for life. So the seriousness of the situation was enormous," explained Karren Brady.
