O Flamengo

a> is close to completing the signing of Gonzalo Plata, an Ecuadorian winger currently linked to Al-Sadd, from Qatar. The Rio club has already defined the purchase format, proposing an initial payment of 3.5 million euros, around R$21.75 million, for 30% of the player's economic rights. The agreement between the athlete and Flamengo is already guaranteed, with Plata expressing to the Qatari club his desire to return to South America.

The negotiation with Al-Sadd includes a progressive purchase model based on goals. Flamengo plans to acquire the remaining 70% of Plata's economic rights over time as the player achieves established goals. However, there are still disagreements between the clubs about how these goals would be structured and the process of fully acquiring the athlete.

 A "YES" AWAY FOR FLAMENGO

If the terms are followed as per the initial proposal, the Flamengo would disburse approximately 11.6 million euros, around R$72.1 million, to guarantee 100% of Plata's economic rights. These values and goals, although still in the definition phase, are considered feasible and within realistic parameters.

Last Thursday, Al-Sadd beat Al-Arabi 5-0 in a match valid for the Qatar national league. Gonzalo Plata, determined to complete his transfer to Flamengo, was not even listed for the game, demonstrating his intention not to play for the Qatari club until the negotiation is completed.

Flaengo striker Luiz Araújo underwent successful surgery this Wednesday (13) to correct an osteochondral injury in his right knee. Luiz Araújo suffered the injury in a dispute with left-back Lucas Piton, from Vasco. After the collision, the Mais Querido player needed medical attention and, although he tried to continue on the field, he was substituted in the 17th minute of the first half.

RECOVERY TIME

The red-black attacker's estimated recovery time is approximately two months. During this period, he will undergo an intensive process of physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation, with the expectation of returning in shape for the end of the season.

FOCUS IN RECOVERY

Flamengo's medical department is closely monitoring Luiz Araújo's progress, ensuring that the player has all the conditions for a full recovery. The team is also looking for alternatives to make up for the athlete's absence in the next important commitments, both in the Brasileirão and the Libertadores.
