In the most recent edition of the Seleção Sportv program, on Canalis Globo, the selection of the best players for the first round of the Brazilian Championship was announced. The team, made up of 11 athletes who stood out in their positions, included Pedro, the number 9 of Flamengo. The choice sparked debate among commentators and football fans, raising the question: did Flamengo deserve more players on this list?

Pedro, Flamengo, secured his place in the first round selection thanks to his exceptional performance. With decisive goals and a constant presence in attack, he became a fundamental piece in coach Jorge Sampaoli's tactical scheme. His finishing ability and intelligence inside the box made the difference in several matches, consolidating his position as one of the main scorers in the championship so far.

Besides Pedro, the first round selection includes players from different teams, highlighting the diversity and balance of the Brazilian Championship. Players from Palmeiras, Atlético-MG, and Fluminense were also present, reflecting the competitiveness and talent distributed among Series A clubs.

The inclusion of just one Flamengo player in the first round selection raised questions between fans and analysts. With a star-studded squad and solid performance so far, many expected to see more Rubro-Negro players being recognized. During the program, Seleção Sportv commentators discussed the criteria for choosing players. They highlighted the individual performance and influence of each athlete on their respective teams.

Carlinhos' performance in the last classic between Flamengoand Vasco, played on Sunday, has generated a wave of criticism and questions from the red and black fans. The striker, who entered the field in the 18th minute of the second half, replacing Bruno Henrique, played a discreet role and ended up failing to help the team in one of the most decisive moments of the match.

The classic, as always, was a game intense and highly anticipated by both fans, with great weight for the championship table and the morale of the teams. However, Carlinhos' entry, which lasted just 27 minutes, was considered below expectations, especially in a scenario where Flamengo was looking for a victory to distance itself from its rivals.

During the 27 minutes he was on the field, Carlinhos barely appeared, failing to influence the game as expected. The player only touched the ball a few times, did not create clear scoring chances and also did not help efficiently in the defensive system. With an apathetic performance, the striker ended up becoming a target of frustration for the fans, who expected more from a player who, at other times, had already demonstrated the potential to be decisive.

The lack of offensive participation was a of the main points raised by critics. In a game that required creativity and boldness to break through the Vasco blockade, Carlinhos was unable to find spaces or impose his presence as a constant threat to the opponent's goal. In classics, where every detail makes a difference, this lack of protagonism weighed even more.

The replacement of Bruno Henrique by Carlinhoswas also a factor that generated discussion. Bruno Henrique, although he was not having a brilliant performance, is a player recognized for his ability to decide games, especially in big confrontations. His departure 18 minutes into the second half was justified by the coaching staff as part of the planning to spare the athlete, who recently returned from injury.

After taking charge of Flamengo, Tite, former coach of the Brazilian national team, made it clear that he is quickly adapting to the club's culture. In recent statements, he highlighted Rubro-Negro's striking characteristic: the incessant search for all possible titles. According to the coach, this spirit of intense competition is something that he not only admires, but is also incorporating into his own work philosophy.

Tite, known for his meticulous and results-focused work, revealed that the Transition to Flamengo involves constant learning, especially in relation to the club's winning mentality. "Flamengo has this culture of fighting for every title. There is no focus on just one competition, the goal is to win everything within reach", he explained.

THE COACH WANTS A COMPETITIVE STYLE

This characteristic is notable in Flamengoin recent years, which has won several important competitions, such as the Brazilian Championship and the Copa Libertadores. Tite, accustomed to pressure and the need for results, states that this mentality is something he is adopting in his day-to-day life at the club. “I see this culture, and this is what we are doing. Flamengo has this requirement, and I am a coach who likes this type of challenge.”

Although Tite has an established career, with successful spells at clubs such as Corinthians and the Brazilian national team, Flamengo represents a new experience for the coach. He is now at the helm of a team that has traditionally had fans calling for victories in every competition they compete in, something he sees as a positive challenge.

"You have to learn every day Even with the experience I have, here I realize that there are very high expectations, but at the same time that's what makes you grow", commented the coach. For him, working at a club that maintains such a high level of demand motivates him to always seek the best.

Flamengo, under the leadership of president Rodolfo Landim, went through a reorganization of its administrative structure with the appointment of three new vice-presidents. The changes were necessary due to the recent departure of directors who are dedicating themselves to the club's internal election, which promises to be one of the most important topics on the calendar rubro-negro.

Eduardo de Sousa was appointed as the new vice-president of Embassies and Consulates. The choice, however, did not please Flamengo's biggest embassy. Thiago Corrêa, president of FlaCampos, criticized Rodolfo Landim's choice. The ambassador states that Eduardo de Sousa is against off-Rio fans (who are not in the capital of Rio) and considered Landim's decision a “bollock”.

“I just saw that President Landim appointed the new vice-president of Consulates and Embassies. If it weren't for a guy who voted against off-Rio, a guy who talks bad about off-Rio, there's even audio of him from a group talking bad about off-Rio. A guy who doesn't have the slightest knowledge of the project, much less the people who are on the project. An appointment to please a small political group”, stated the president of FlaCampos.

Thiago Corrêa said that he even sent a message to President Rodolfo Landim and that the choice of Eduardo de Sousa is like “putting a butcher to do bread". “The majority of ambassadors are from outside Rio. How is this guy going to work with the ambassadors knowing that he is against the off-Rio, that he voted against the off-Rio? There's no way”, he concluded.

During his first campaign for president, Rodolfo Landim guaranteed that the Embassies and Consulates project would be one of the club's priorities and created the portfolio for it. The vice president since his first term was Maurício Gomes de Mattos, who expanded the program to what it is today, by participating on Eduardo Bandeira de Mello's ticket. MGM stepped down to run for president of the club in this year's elections and the seat has been empty since then.
