With the advantage gained away from home in the first leg, Flamengo had to draw to qualify for the semifinals of the OPG Tournament. However, the Garotos do Ninho did not rely on the result of the first game and from the first minute, they played forward , putting pressure on Madureira from the moment the opponent had the ball out.
In the 7th minute, Flamengo's first big chance came from Lorran , who shot hard, but the goalkeeper saved it. Madureira's defense was strong and Flamengo tried to reach their goal, but found a solid defense from the suburban tricolor.
The first half unfolded in this manner until the end and after the break , Mengão continued with the same mentality. In a pass from Lorran coming from the midfield, in the 6th minute, Bill opened the scoring for the Garotos do Ninho, increasing the advantage that was already in Flamengo's favor.
Needing to win, Madureira came out more into the game, creating spaces and unlocking the defense that had previously presented itself to Flamengo's attack. In the 16th minute, Camargo, shooting hard from the edge of the area, took advantage of the chance and scored the second goal for the Mengão players in the game.
At 21, almost the third: Lorran took a free kick from the left and Camargo headed hard, but the opposing goalkeeper made an excellent save and kicked it out . The Madureira team continued trying to score, however without any major risks and the game continued like this until the end.
With a 4-1 aggregate victory, Flamengo qualified for the semifinals of the OPG Tournament and will now face Fluminense, who beat Nova Iguaçu 11-10 on penalties after winning the match in normal time 1-0. In the other semifinal, Botafogo and Maricá will face each other for a place in the final.
Released by Bahia, the player will now have a new chance to prove himself at Tricolor and Mengão will not be entitled to the value of the deal.

A Libertadores and U-20 World Cup winner with Flamengo in 2024, 19-year-old right-back Lucyan has been announced as São Paulo's new signing . He had transferred to Bahia in March of this year but was released in August for disciplinary reasons.
With the agreement with São Paulo, Flamengo loses the 30% of the economic rights it had retained in the negotiations with the Bahia club. The information was released by journalist Venê Casagrande. Lucyan signed a contract valid until June 30, 2028, with São Paulo , with a release clause of 80 million euros (approximately R$506 million at the current exchange rate).
With no room at Flamengo , the full-back had signed with Bahia until December 2027, in a deal at no cost to the Bahia club, but which kept 30% of his rights tied to the Rubro-Negro. The fine, at the time, had been set at 100 million euros (R$600 million).
The stint, however, was short-lived. In August, Bahia issued an official statement confirming the termination: " Esporte Clube Bahia SAF announces the release of right-back Lucyan . The U-20 player joined the club in March 2025 and played 16 matches for the Pivetes de Aço."
A Flamengo youth product since the U-15s, Lucyan excelled in 2024, starting in the final stretch of the Copa Libertadores, including the final against Boca Juniors (ARG) . At the U-20 World Cup, he served as a reserve for Filipe Luís's team, which defeated Olympiacos (GRE) in the final. The full-back left Flamengo at the beginning of this season, when he was released by Bahia.
The defender is a great highlight of Mengão's under-20 team and has been gaining value in the eyes of the fans and the market, which has caught the team's attention.

The contract stipulates that the Gávea club can acquire an additional 10% of the rights for R$500,000. The board is considering exercising this option , a move seen as strategic, as the youngster is expected to gain even more prominence in the coming years.
Even in his final year of the U-20 season, Iago is already attracting attention for his performance.
