The weekend promises to be one of the most intense of the year in Flamengo's calendar. The club will have 12 decisive matches in three days, including finals, semi-finals and classics in the youth categories, in addition to the long-awaited clash against Bayern Munich, valid for the round of 16 of the Club World Cup, this Sunday (29), at 5 pm, at Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami.
The program involves 11 youth teams and the professional squad, creating a scenario of total mobilization at Ninho do Urubu . The marathon began with a double victory last Thursday (26), when the under-13 and under-14 teams beat Vasco and advanced to the finals of the Metropolitan Championship. The decision schedule begins this Friday (27). At 2:45 pm, in Gávea, Flamengo faces Fluminense in the first leg of the final of the Under-15 Carioca Championship.
On Saturday (28), the pace increases with five matches spread throughout the day. In the morning, the youngest categories take to the field:
Under-9 faces Fluminense, at 9 am, in Xerém.
U-11 plays against Serrano, at 10:30 am, at the Atílio Marotti Stadium.
U-10 will face Fluminense again, at 10:40 am, again in Xerém.
In the afternoon, the commitments gain competitive weight:
At 2:30 pm, the U-20s play the first game of the OPG Cup semi-final, once again against Fluminense, in Gávea.
Closing Saturday, at 6 pm, the U-17 team takes to the field at the Nilton Santos Stadium, in the first duel of the Carioca final in the category, against Botafogo
Before that, the under-7 and under-8 teams face Botafogo in the Edilson Silva Cup, starting at 8 am, at CT Ninho das Garças, in Guaratiba.
Still in the morning, two other decisions for the Copa Metropolitana will take place at CT das Vargens:
U-13 faces Vasco, at 9 am.
Under-14s also face their rivals Cruzmaltino, at 10:40 am
To close the marathon, Flamengo professional team turns its attention to the international scene. At 5pm (Brasília time), the team will face Bayern Munich at the Hard Rock Stadium in the United States in the round of 16 of the Club World Cup. In six seasons wearing the Sacred Mantle, the striker played 306 games, scored 161 goals , gave 43 assists and won: two Libertadores, two Brasileiros, two Copa do Brasil, two Supercopas do Brasil, one Recopa Sudamericana and four Cariocas.
