0Flamengo, who started the season in an overwhelming way, now faces their worst phase in 2024. The latest disappointing performances have increased the pressure on coach Tite, with speculation about his possible dismissal before the scheduled clash against Red Bull Bragantino this Saturday (4).
Denílson, former player and commentator, expressed his concerns during his participation in Band's "Jogo Aberto" program this Friday. He stated that Tite's stay is conditional on the result of the game against Red Bull Bragantino for the Brazilian Championship. According to Denílson, a defeat could mean the end of the line for the coach.
"O Flamengo is under pressure. After booing for Tite in the Copa do Brasil, if he loses to Bragantino, he runs the risk of to be fired. That's Brazilian football. But it's not what I want, for me he has to continue because I think he's the best coach to manage Flamengo currently", declared Denílson.
FLAMENGO EXPERIENCES INCONSISTENCY
After a victory against Amazonas in the Copa do Brasil, Flamengo is preparing to face Red Bull Bragantino this Saturday, at 6:30 pm (time de Brasília), in Bragança Paulista, for the 5th round of the Brazilian Championship. The team urgently needs a victory to improve its position in the table.
In the last few games, Flamengo faced a period of unsatisfactory results, including a draw against Palmeiras and defeats to Bolívar and Botafogo. Even the victory over Amazonas was not enough to convince the critics. At Maracanã, the fans expressed their dissatisfaction with boos and insults after the game.
