In Flamengo's 2-1 defeat to Fortaleza, this Thursday (11/7), striker Gabigol started on the bench and came on in the 24th minute of the second half, when the team was already at a disadvantage at Maracanã. Upon her return after missing the last three matches, Gabi showed a lot of determination, looking for the game, making crosses and even scoring a goal that would have been the equalizer in stoppage time, but it was disallowed for offside.

In the zone mixed, Gabigol explained the reason for his absence in the last few games and hinted at a possible farewell at the end of the season. "I needed more minutes, but I understand the coach. He wants the best for the team. But I have to pick up the pace and that's just by playing. I was starting every game every game, and only about 15 minutes, it was complicated. We talked to the board and we decided to wait (unrelated), as I had proposals to leave. But as I decided that I would only leave in December, I decided to join Fortaleza."

SPECULATIONS ABOUT LEAVING

Regarding his future, Gabigol was clear in stating that nothing has been defined yet and criticized speculation in the press. "Everyone wants to say it (leaving Flamengo). But no one will say it. It's my decision, that of my parents, the next club and Flamengo. When it's decided, I'll communicate it. I see a lot of lies on the internet. They say I spoke with coaches from other clubs, that I had a presentation scheduled for. And that makes me sad, because there are people who base themselves on that, but what comes out on Twitter is not real life", he said.

MOMENT OF DECISION

Gabigol, who is one of Flamengo's greatest recent idols, made it clear that the decision about his future will be taken with calmly and at the right time. Until then, he intends to continue contributing to the team and staying focused on the season's goals.

According to the musician, the person attacked spent the show making a “faction sign” for him. “He was always making a faction sign to me. There came a part [of the song] where I talk about my father's music. He looked at me and said something related to my father. Then he soon got spat in the face (sic) and took some beatings”, he said.

The rapper also made a point of writing that he is not part of any faction.

Who Is Oruam's father?

The rapper's father is known as Marcinho VP, identified as one of the leaders of the criminal faction Comando Vermelho, a group that controls part of the drug trafficking in Rio de Janeiro.

In August, Oruam spoke about his father's arrest on social media: “My father was arrested at the age of 20, almost 30 years ago. For more than 15 years he has lived locked in a six-square-meter cell, with two hours of sunbathing a day, when authorized, and without contact with anyone other than the prison guards.” >
