The Mais Querido striker used his social networks to send the message to the journalist
|
0Gabigol did not travel with the Flamengo delegation for the match against Grêmio, last Sunday (22) and had his name linked to yet another new injury as the reason for his absence. However, shirt 99 used his social networks to deny the information.
"Lie", wrote Gabigol, in a publication on "Threads". The Mais Querido striker commented on journalist Diogo Dantas' post, in which he mentioned the player's injury.
At the time, Gabigol was not listed by Tite last Sunday (22) for the game against Grêmio, as he was undergoing physiotherapy and is going through the transition before returning to training on the field. This way, the player is closer to returning to the field.
It is quite likely that Tite will select Gabigol among the starters for the clash against Peñarol. This is because the attacker trained among the starting 10 during the week.
In addition to Gabigol denying Diogo Dantas, Flamengo also issued an official note repudiating the information published by the journalist. In the note, Rubro-Negro states that it repudiates, once again, news released by the professional.
“The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo repudiates, once again, an article by journalist Diogo Dantas, from Jornal O Globe. In the note published at 8:02 pm today, he states that striker Gabriel Barbosa felt a new muscle discomfort. We clarify that the information is false and follows the pattern of the latest articles published in sequence by the journalist.
The institution has already positioned itself against the model of journalism adopted by the professional. Gabriel Barbosa trains with the group normally and is ready for the match against Peñarol, on Thursday, in Uruguay. We regret the repetition of false information without any type of warning from the vehicle and which compromises the work carried out seriously on a daily basis by the professionals at Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.”
Defender does not approve of the coach’s actions in front of Mais Querido

0Former player Fábio Luciano, who was Flamengo's defender and captain, brought his analysis of Tite's attitudes, highlighting a possible contradiction between speech and practice. The coach often states that the club is competing on all fronts, without giving priority to a specific competition. However, Fábio notes that, in practice, the Brazilian Championship has been left aside.
A clear example was the match against Grêmio, where Tite chose not to take the main players, leaving 12 athletes in the Rio de Janeiro to train with Matheus Bachi, his son and assistant coach. For Fábio, there is an inconsistency, because, despite the discourse of equality between competitions, the Brazilian Championship remains in the background.
“Tite makes a statement that Flamengo would compete in all competitions. That he knows the responsibility, that this is what Flamengo is, he made this statement a week ago. And then a week ago, you said that you understood, that you had to be strong in all the competitions, and a week later you left the starters in Rio de Janeiro, sending a team of boys. So I think the message... I understand, but I don't accept it, because it was Flamengo, the message had to be different”, stated Fábio Luciano, before completing:
“As an institution, it wasn't a good message. Flamengo could have a different move of keeping the players in Rio de Janeiro, leaving them training with another professional. But it is a private issue”, defined the commentator.
The former captain criticizes this decision, considering that leaving most of the squad at Ninho do Urubu was an inappropriate choice. In his view, Tite should have taken the entire group to the South, even though he agrees with the lineup of a mixed, but more competitive, team. Fábio also comments that the logistics of traveling from Rio Grande do Sul to Montevideo would be simple, and the ideal would be for the entire squad to be working directly with the coach.
“The players could be together at that moment, they could make a decision in Porto Alegre. It could make the team a little stronger, understand who is capable of playing or not, and give value to the Brazilian Championship. Porto Alegre is on Montevideo's side, everyone is going, Flamengo is going strong, then they get there and decide who will play or not, and make a plan already inside Porto Alegre, thinking about the game in Uruguay”, concluded the defender.< /p>

0Flamengo used its social networks to respond to an article published by Jornal O Globo, written by journalist Diogo Dantas. In the statement, the club clarifies that the trip of the vice-president of football, Marcos Braz, and the executive director, Bruno Spindel, to Europe, was carried out at the request of the player Alex Sandro, recently hired by Flamengo. The club also denied the participation of businessmen Giuliano Bertolucci and Kia Joorabchian in the negotiations.
In addition to refuting the information about the participation of Bertolucci and Joorabchian, Flamengo also clarified that these businessmen are not involved in other ongoing player negotiations, specifically citing negotiations with Carlos Alcaraz, from Southampton, and Gonzalo Plata, from Al Sadd. The club highlighted that the O Globo article contained incorrect information and had already made mistakes in other reports about the club.
Flamengo remains active in the transfer market, with the window ending on September 2nd. So far, the club has already confirmed the signings of Michael and Alex Sandro.
