In the Flamengo, before the classic against Fluminense, coach Tite and midfielder Gerson shared a moment of inspiration. With direct and motivating words, both focused on the importance of concentration and attitude to guarantee leadership in the championship. Tite, recognized for his ability to motivate and organize his teams, got straight to the point in his speech. He emphasized the importance of concentration and mutual support on the field: "Helps, helps, and above all, concentrates. If you keep your eyes on the game, you will decide."

This clear and objective message reinforces the idea that full attention during the match is crucial to success. Tite knows that the difference between victory and defeat often lies in the small details and the players' ability to be fully focused on the game. Afterwards, Gerson brought an equally motivational approach, highlighting the importance of taking advantage of the team's good moment and not letting themselves be shaken by the opponent: "Take advantage of our moment. Forget the opponent. Let's play a great game to stay in the lead ."

FLAMENGO HAS STRENGTH BEHIND THE SCENES

Gerson, with his direct and spontaneous language, expressed his desire to maintain his prominent position in the championship. He encouraged his teammates to focus on their own performance, without worrying excessively about the opposing team. The message is clear: confidence and focus on what is within the team's reach are fundamental to ensuring continuity in leadership.

These speeches were captured by FlaTV, the club's official channel, and reflect well the climate of determination and unity within the red and black squad. Flamengo, which seeks to consolidate its position at the top of the table, enters the field knowing the importance of each game in the final stretch of the championship.

Victory to respect

Despite being a competition to open the season, Flamengo's victory gives a boost to the season. After all, Minas is the team to beat in Brazilian women's volleyball. Thus, in the last five Superligas, the Belo Horizonte team won four titles and one runner-up. In the squad, there are athletes who have played for the Brazilian team, such as Thaísa, Olympic champion and bronze medalist in this year's edition, in Paris.

Superliga

The dates of the Women's Super League have not yet been announced. However, there is an expectation that the competition will start in October. In total, 12 teams will play the tournament, in a round-robin system, with the eight best qualifying for the quarter-finals.

In the last edition, after all, Flamengo was eliminated by Praia Clube in the semi-final . Therefore, the goal for 2024/25 is to reach the decision and repeat the title won in 2000/01, when Rubro-Negro beat Vasco, in a historic decision at the Ginásio do Maracanãzinho.

FIFA will announce the venues for the 2025 Super Club World Cup this Saturday (28). The announcement will be made during the Global Citizen Festival. The event will be held in Central Park, New York. FIFA did not detail how many cities and stadiums will host the 2025 edition. This will be the first time that the tournament will feature 32 teams.

The Super World Cup will be held between June 15 and July 13, 2025 The competition already has 30 qualified teams, with three Brazilians among them: Palmeiras, Flamengo and Fluminense. Brazil may have one more representative. This is because Atlético-MG and Botafogo are fighting for the last South American place in the competition — the Libertadores title gives them the place. Peñarol [if they win the Libertadores] and Olímpia [if River wins the Libertadores] are the other teams in the running.

What will the Super Mundial be like?

< The competition organized by FIFA will be played for the first time with 32 teams next year. The United States will host the first edition of the tournament in this format. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups with four teams each, with them facing each other in a single round. The top two in each group will advance to the round of 16. The knockout stage will be played in a single game.

The places are divided into: 12 for Europe, six for South America, four for Asia, Africa and North, Central America and the Caribbean, one for Oceania and one for the host country.

In addition to the remaining MLS spot, which has not yet defined its representative, the other available entry belongs to South America. It is destined for the champion of the edition of 2024 of the Libertadores. If River Plate wins the title, it will be transferred to the Conmebol ranking in FIFA and would already have an owner: Olímpia-PAR.
