Flamengo and Bahia enter the field this Thursday (12) to decide a place in the semifinals of the Copa do Brasil 2024. The clash takes place at Maracanã, in Rio de Janeiro, at 9:45 pm (Brasília time). Mengão arrives with the advantage of a draw, after winning the first leg 1-0, at Arena Fonte Nova, with a goal from Bruno Henrique.
The decisive match between Flamengo and Bahia can be watched live on TV Globo, SporTV, Premiere and Amazon Prime. The Rio broadcaster gave up the traditional quarterfinal games in order to broadcast the Mengão duel.
The break in the calendar due to FIFA dates allowed the CRF to recover important players. Coach Tite had almost two weeks to adjust the team and prepare for the decisive clash at Maracanã.

This Monday (16), rumors emerged involving Bahia's interest in signing Gabigol, striker from Mais Querido. According to the channel Paparazzo Rubro-Negro, Tricolor de Aço would have entered the dispute for Gabigol, who has a contract with Flamengojust until December this year. In addition to Bahia, clubs such as Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Grêmio, Palmeiras and Santos would also be keeping an eye on the player.
Despite the speculation, the Bahia board was quick to deny any ongoing negotiations to count on the shirt 99 from Mengão. According to the club's leadership, there is no intention of repeating an operation similar to that carried out with Everton Ribeiro.
