This Wednesday, the 20th, Flamengo will be in Goiânia (GO) to face Goiás at Estádio da Serrinha, starting at 7pm (Brasília time). The clash is part of the 24th round of the Brasileirão and will be broadcast on Premiere (pay-per-view). The Rubro-Negro team aims for a victory to get closer to the G4, while Esmeraldino seeks to distance itself from the relegation zone (Z4).
Flamengo currently occupies fifth place in the table, with 39 points, and seeks to secure a position among the top four, since with Bragantino's victory, Mengão is out of the classification zone. Recently, the Rio team suffered a defeat in the first game of the Copa do Brasil final, played on Sunday (17), against São Paulo. Furthermore, in their last match for the Brasileirão, they were also defeated by Athletico, in Cariacica.
For the clash against Goiás, coach Jorge Sampaoli faces an extensive list of absences, with Gabigol and Wesley suspended, and De Arrascaeta, Luiz Araújo, Varela, Filipe Luís, Allan and Pulgar out due to injuries.
Goiás, currently occupying 16th place in the table with 25 points, faces a difficult time as they do not win one victory four rounds ago, and the threat of relegation is getting closer. Last Friday (15), the team suffered an away defeat to Palmeiras.

Flamengo will have an important novelty on the field this Sunday (31), when it faces Grêmio in the 22nd round of the Brasileirão . The club will now display the name of Betano, the new master sponsor of the Manto Sagrado, in the center of its uniform .
Until then, the sports betting company had already signed a contract with Rubro-Negro, but the shirt was only being used with the phrase “A Nação Confia” , in reference to the agreement that had not yet been officially activated.
The partnership between Flamengo and Betano runs until 2028 and provides for R$268.5 million per season. With bonuses included for winning titles and achieving goals, the contract could reach R$1 billion over the life of the contract .
In addition to the uniform display, the company is preparing a grand celebration at Maracanã Stadium to mark the official start of the partnership. 3D mosaics are planned in the stands and a concert by singer Alexandre Pires , promising a special atmosphere for the brand's debut at Manto Sagrado.
Flamengo returns to the field this Sunday (31), at 4 pm (Brasília time), against Grêmio, at Maracanã. The match will be broadcast on Rede Globo, on open TV (except for São Paulo), and on Premiere , on pay-per-view.
Roma, with the full-back, and Pisa, with the midfielder, faced each other in the 2nd round of the Italian Championship and had a moment together before the clash

This Saturday, Roma defeated Pisa 1-0 in a Serie A match. The standout performer was Argentine Matías Soulé, who scored the winning goal. The match also featured a strong red-and-black presence : Wesley was once again a starter for Roma, while Lorran, on loan from Flamengo , watched the match from the stands.
Recently loaned by Flamengo to Pisa, Lorran was present at the stadium to observe his future teammates . Before kickoff, the youngster participated in the warm-up on the sidelines, already wearing the colors of his new club, and even greeted Wesley, his former teammate at Ninho do Urubu.
The first half featured heavy marking, numerous fouls, and few clear-cut scoring chances. The teams went into halftime with the score tied , in a game more physical than technical. After the break, Roma showed more aggression.
In the 55th minute, Soulé received a good pass, beat the marker and finished with class to open the scoring: 1-0. Shortly after, in the 61st minute, the Argentine found the net again , but the move was reviewed by VAR and the second goal was disallowed.
A regular starter, Wesley was a standout at right-back, playing as a winger in Gian Piero Gasperini's system . He proved to be solid in defense and involved in attack, traits that caught the coach's attention while he was still at Flamengo .
With the defeat, Pisa remains with just one point in the standings and returns to action on September 14th against Udinese, again at home. Roma, with six points from two games, faces Torino also on the 14th, at home.
