César is involved in an unusual negotiation in Portuguese football

Created from the Flamengo academy, goalkeeper César is the new player for Boavista, from Portugal, just after leaving the Portuguese club. The 32-year-old archer played for the team last season, without having his contract renewed, however, after problems in the squad, the board “went back” and agreed to the player's return.
The change of mind on the part of of Boavista and the maintenance of César was due to injuries to the squad's two main goalkeepers, who will have long recovery dates.
Currently, Boavista finds itself in a huge financial crisis, sunk in debt, which has generated punishment regarding the signing of new players. And so there was another reason to bring back the ex-Flamengo goalkeeper, as the signing was treated as a contract renewal, not a transfer.
Even with their two best goalkeepers injured, Boavista still had an option in the squad. Goalkeeper Tomé Sousa, 17 years old, is considered one of the great promises of the position not only in Portuguese territory, but also in Europe.
And yet, with a true jewel in hand, the team's management chose to place his votes of confidence in Caesar. In two years at Boavista, César played in just six games as a starter, and will have his golden chance after a period away from Flamengo.
With Manto Rubro-Negro, César played 62 games, most of which were between 2017 and 2019, where he alternated between starting and being on the bench. After leaving Mais Querido, he also passed through Bahia, before disembarking in Portugal

The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

Tite defined Flamengo and announced the 11 starters who will face Peñarol, this Thursday, at Maracanã, at 7pm. De la Cruz returns to the starting lineup in place of Léo Ortiz, and Alex Sandro and Plata were retained. The duel with the Uruguayans is the first between the teams in the quarter-finals of the Copa Conmebol Libertadores.

Alex Sandro and Plata, debutants in last Sunday's classic, remain in the team after having good performances in the draw against Vasco. Gabigol is now out of the relationship due to fibrosis in the posterior muscle of his right thigh. Flamengo, in a statement, reported that the athlete did not suffer any injury in the region. "The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo informs that the athlete Gabriel Barbosa underwent tests that did not diagnose an injury to the posterior muscle of his right thigh. However, the Technical Committee opted for precaution and did not list him for the duel against Peñarol due to fibrosis in the region. Gabi is handed over to physiotherapists and physical trainers for the series of decisive games of the season."

This Saturday morning (15), the Garotos do Ninho took to the field to compete in the second round of the under-20 Guanabara Cup. Mais Querido took no notice of Boavista and thrashed their opponent 6-0 while waiting for Filipe Luís to arrive.MATCH SUMMARY
Rafael Bahia who led Rubro-Negro this Saturday ( 15). Many players who were not being used received opportunities and even striker Isaque made his debut for Mais Querido.
Rubro-Negro started the match without many chances to score and little possession of the ball. Boavista had the first two opportunities, but was stopped by good saves from Caio Barone. Without highlights, the confrontation remained truncated in the opening minutes, but changed after the technical stoppage.
In the 28th minute, Rodriguinho opened the scoring for Mais Querido, and the play had a wonderful assist from Orellano. Rubro-Negro's adjustments brought consistency to the team, which started to work more on the ball and had the peace of mind to create plays.
2nd ASSASSALADORIn the second stage, Mais Querido needed just three minutes to expand the marker. The goal came after a corner taken by Guilherme Gomes and was scored by debutant Isaque. Minutes later, at eight minutes, Guilherme took a free kick in the corner, making it 3-0. Flamengo continued to press and increased the score at 24', with Rodriguinho, for the second time.
