Flamengo agreed to sell goalkeeper Santos to Fortaleza. Last Friday (12), the player agreed to a termination agreement with Mais Querido to leave the team. Therefore, the experienced archer is free to be announced by the Ceará team.
The player published a video on his social networks thanking him for the time he spent at Mais Querido and also took the opportunity to thank Nação Rubro Negra. He also said that he went through good and bad times and that it will be a new challenge that he will seek.
“Today my cycle ends wearing the Flamengo shirt, I would like to thank God, and everyone for this time together, where I could win important titles and enjoy wearing the shirt of one of the biggest clubs in the world. Between good and bad moments, the certainty that I always tried to do my best to literally defend the red and black shirt. Now it's time for new challenges! Thank you, nation!”, said Santos, on social media.
SALE TO FORTALEZAFortaleza agreed to sign Santos. Therefore, the archer will sign a contract with the Ceará team for three years. The Northeast team will pay 1.4 million dollars (R$ 7 million) to Mais Querido if the goals set out in the contract are achieved.
SAINTS' PASS TO FLAMENGOO Goalkeeper Santos arrived at Mais Querido in April 2022, when he was hired from Athletico PR. However, even with his short stint at Rubro Negro in Rio de Janeiro, the player was important in winning the Copa do Brasil and Libertadores da América under Dorival Júnior's management.
After Dorival's departure, the archer lost space in the More Dear. This is because Jorge Sampaoli used Matheus Cunha and Augustín Rossi before being fired. As a result, the archer became the third option in Flamengo's squad, which influenced his decision to leave the club.
