This Monday (28), the home field for the final between Flamengo and São Paulo for the Copa do Brasil was decided. The draw took place at the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), in Rio de Janeiro, and the event had representatives from both clubs. Rafinha, ex-Flamengo and current right-back for São Paulo, was present as a representative of the São Paulo team, and revealed whether his time at Mengão influenced his feelings when facing Rubro-Negro.

"Special taste no. I have already made it clear that I was very happy and won many titles at Flamengo. There is not that special feeling when facing Flamengo. I keep many friends there; I talk to everyone, whether employees or athletes. I had a very positive experience. I do not hold grudges , absolutely none. I only feel gratitude and affection, I keep everything in my heart", began the player.

"However, I am currently on the side of São Paulo and, against Flamengo or any other club, I try to defend in the best way possible, with total dedication, as I have always done throughout my career", he added, in an interview at the headquarters of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). Flamengo officials did not grant interviews, and forbade the players present to talk to the press.

During his days at Flamengo, Rafinha played 45 games, accumulating eight assists. During his time at Rubro-Negro, the right-back won five titles: two Brazilian Championships, a Copa Libertadores da América, a Supercopa do Brasil and a Reocopa Sudamericana. At the age of 37, the player is looking for his 25th title in the final of the Copa do Brasil. There were 18 trophies for Bayern Munich (ALE), five for Mengão and one for Olympiacos (GRE).

Before facing Rafinha in the Copa do Brasil, Mengão has another commitment. Flamengo and Botafogo face each other next Saturday (02) for the 22nd round of the Brasileirão. The duel takes place at 9 pm (Brasília time), at Estádio Nilton Santos. Currently, Mais Querido occupies the fourth position in the Brazilian Championship. The club's objective is to overcome the difference of 15 points between Rubro-Negro and Botafogo, current leader of the competition.
