FourFourTwo magazine, one of the most respected in the world of football, launched an edition in which it chooses the greatest coaches in the history of the sport. Thus, of the 100 names selected, four are Brazilian. One of them stands out, Zagallo, who made history with Flamengo.

According to the English rankings, Zagallo is the 27th best coach in history. He is the highest placed Brazilian on the list. In addition to the former Mais Querido coach, Scolari (39th), Telê Santana (44th) and Carlos Alberto Parreira (55th), were also elected by FourFourTwo.

Zagallo made history at Flamengo not only as a coach, but also in the short period in which he played as a striker. As a player for Rubro Negro, Velho Lobo won 12 titles, including the Tricampeonato Carioca from 1953 to 1955. As a coach, Zagallo was champion eight times.

However, it was in the Brazilian National Team that Zagallo made his name at Soccer. Velho Lobo was World Cup champion in 1952 and 1958, as a player, but he also won as a coach in 1970 and as technical coordinator in the 1994 title. Therefore, he is a four-time World Champion.

The FourFourTwo list is led by Alex Ferguson, Scottish, with 38 titles at Manchester United alone in the 27 years he led the English team. Furthermore, the best-placed coach still active is Pep Guardiola, in fifth place. It's worth remembering that the Spaniard is the current champion of the Champions League.

In a press conference at Ninho do Urubu, goalkeeper Agustín Rossi spoke about his desire to be called up to the Argentina national team , the current world champion. Despite his dream, the goalkeeper made it clear that his priority remains Flamengo.

The Argentine stressed that he keeps his feet on the ground and that his main goal is to continue showing consistency for the Rubro-Negro , who have the best defense in the Brasileirão, conceding only 10 goals in 22 games. At Maracanã, the Mais Querido conceded only three goals.

"I'm in no rush, because my job is for Flamengo , day to day, game to game. My biggest focus is to maintain this streak so that the call-up can come. Of course I have that desire, but I don't treat it as a requirement . I'm Flamengo's goalkeeper, I'm responsible for Flamengo. If the call-up comes, I'll welcome it," he added.

Since joining Flamengo in 2023, Rossi has already won four titles. Last season, he was a key player in the undefeated Carioca Championship and also played in the Copa do Brasil victory.
