0Injuries to Flamengo players in 2023 appear to be yet another topic of concern in the club's extensive list of problems. Filipe Luís, Léo Pereira, David Luiz, Rodrigo Caio, Gabigol, Bruno Henrique and Pedro were away from Mais Querido games for a long 450 days. There are, in total, 64 weeks impacted by physical problems.
According to the survey carried out by the MRN portal, this could be one of the reasons for Flamengo's bad season, as the squad spent the equivalent of one year and two months ago without some of its most important athletes for clashes during the season.
The athlete who was left out for the longest time was Bruno Henrique, due to his multiligament knee injury, still in 2022. In total, the shirt 27 da Gávea was unable to play for around 112 days and was unable to help the club for a long time.
Another athlete who spent a longer time without playing and being able to help Rubro Negro was Arrascaeta. The Uruguayan star was absent from Mais Querido for around 91 days. During these three months, the midfielder was out due to muscle injuries. Same problem as Filipe Luís and Léo Pereira, who suffered from physical problems and were out for 107 days.
Gerson was absent from Rubro Negro due to injury for just 16 days, still in May, due to pain in his left adductor. Pedro was also unavailable for just two weeks. Rodrigo Caio, as incredible as it may seem, was in DM for only 5 days, as he had a virus in July. Also in the clash against Aucas, in the Libertadores, in which he was not included due to knee inflammation. However, he was available for the rest of the year.
Last Wednesday - ugly (8), Márcio Tannure participated in Tite's press conference and explained the physical problems of David Luiz and Gabigol. The defender is the only one mentioned who is injured at the moment. It's worth remembering that he had a sprained ankle during the new coach's debut. Therefore, he was absent from Flamengo due to injury in 74 days.
Gabigol, on the other hand, has enthesopathy, an injury that overloads the adductors. Consequently, the number 10 will undergo a procedure, without surgery, at the end of the year. This year, the attacker was out for 29 days because of injuries. The player's most recent physical problem was muscle discomfort, which took him out of the match against Fortaleza on November 5th.
The teams play the first game of the quarterfinals at 7 p.m.

0Michael has been following the recovery schedule for his thigh injury, which sidelined him recently. The striker, an important piece in dFlamengo, is in intensive treatment to return as soon as possible. The recovery process has been carried out under the supervision of the club's professionals, who are confident in the player's full recovery.
At the same time, while the majority of the club's squad Flamengo enjoys a period of rest, some of the newly arrived reinforcements continue with their training routine at Ninho do Urubu. Among those who maintained the work pace are Alex Sandro and Gonzalo Plata, who participated in the activities on Tuesday and Wednesday. These players have shown commitment since arriving at the club, seeking adaptation and physical improvement to be at the coach's disposal in the next phase of competitions.
Carlos Alcaraz, in turn, who had a day off on Monday and Tuesday, returned to the training center on Wednesday. Flamengo's technical committee has adopted a personalized approach for each athlete, aiming to balance the need for rest with physical and technical preparation. The decision to give Alcaraz two days of rest was strategic, considering the intensity of the last games and training. However, the expectation is that the player will regain his rhythm quickly and be ready to contribute to the team soon.
These movements at Ninho do Urubu reflect the importance of keeping the squad prepared, even during periods of less activity. O Flamengo< /a> knows that the season is long and requires all athletes to be in top shape, whether for the challenges of the Brazilian Championship or for international competitions. The dedication of the reinforcements in training is seen as a positive sign by the coaching staff, who seek to integrate these players into the main team as quickly as possible.
