The future Flamengo stadium, which will be built in the Gasmetro region, in the center of Rio de Janeiro, was discussed by president Rodolfo Landim in an interview with the newspaper O Globo, where he also addressed number of technicians at the club during his management. According to the current president, who remains in office until the end of December, potential buyers of the Naming Rights will be present at the first game of the final between Flamengo and Atlético-MG, this Sunday (3), at Maracanã.
Naming Rights are considered one of the main sources of revenue for the construction of the new stadium. Flamengo believes it can generate between R$70 and R$80 million annually with the commercialization of these rights, which allow a company to name the stadium. “We are already making some contacts. There are people even coming from abroad to watch the game on Sunday”, said Landim.
In addition, Landim commented on the capacity of the new stadium. “There are still things to tie up with the Fire Department regarding the project. Depending on what we negotiate, we will be able to increase or decrease the number of people in the stadium. But the numbers are between 75 thousand and 79 thousand seats in total”, concluded the president.
If Rodrigo Dunshee, his candidate, wins the elections, Landim will take over asCEO of Flamengo and will be responsible for the stadium project. The competitors in the election are Luiz Eduardo Baptista, Bap, who stated in a recent interview that he will bring specialist Fabrício Chicca to work as a consultant for his team on the stadium, and Maurício Gomes de Mattos, who also said he had an agreement with the owner of the channel Mundo na Bola. Voting will take place on December 9th.

With no place at Flamengo, 21-year-old midfielder Victor Hugo 's negotiations with Santos have stalled. Since returning to Turkish football, he has played little and is on the Mais Querido's list of transferable players. While the negotiations remain uncertain, Victor Hugo continues to train normally under Filipe Luís and seeks opportunities at Flamengo . The player's release will depend on Santos meeting all the club president's demands, but there is still the possibility of an agreement if the terms are accepted.
The Mais Querido released the standout player from the two-time U-20 Libertadores championship to Portuguese football, maintaining half of the athlete's economic rights.
