Flamengo's 2023 season was full of failures, attacks and six lost championships, all with two coaches commanding the team in each semester. Now, the Rubro Negro fan is filled with hope with the arrival of Tite, former commander of the Brazilian team and who participated in two World Cups.

Journalist Martín Fernandez speculated in his column in the newspaper "O Globo" about the future of the coach at Flamengo. Although the contract runs until the end of 2024, the commentator states that Tite is the ideal name to lead Rubro Negro in the 2025 Club World Cup, but his permanence is conditional on his performance in 2023.

“Tite's contract will until December 2024, when Rodolfo Landim's second and final term as president of Flamengo ends. But who could be better suited than Tite to manage the team at the Club World Cup in June 2025? Champion of the Libertadores 2022, Flamengo is already qualified for the new FIFA World Cup, which will have 32 teams", he said, before concluding.

"But it is safe to say that the coach's stay until then is conditional to what will happen at the end of 2023. The 12 remaining rounds of the Brazilian Championship will be decisive for Tite's future. Being left out of the 2024 Libertadores is equivalent to a relegation for this billionaire Flamengo", he said.

From 2025, the world competition will have a new format with 32 clubs, every four years. Libertadores Champion in 2022, Flamengo is already confirmed in the tournament, and Mais Querido will have the chance to conquer the world, like in 1981.

The competition will always take place one year before the World Cup. Among the 32 teams, there will be 12 European teams, six from South America, four from Concaf, four from Africa, four from Asia, one from Oceania and one from the host country. The World Cup will be played in eight groups with four teams each. The champion of each group qualifies for the quarter-finals, with a knockout stage until the final.
